Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor won the Hong Kong Chief Executive Election, and after being approved by the central government, she is soon to be the city's first female leader.
She garnered 777 votes from the 1,194-strong Election Commitee.
The former financial secretary John Tsang Chun-wah and the retired judge Woo Kwok-hing,
who were also in contention, obtained 365 and 21 votes, respectively.
