In 2006 Mohamed Alansari completed an ACG foundation programme to help him get into the University of Auckland.

Originally from Bahrain, Mohamed was the first person in his family to attend university. Now he is a Research Fellow in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the university, awaiting the conferment of his PhD.

He tells us about his journey.

Congratulations to ACG Sunderland Year 13 student and 2016 Dux, Anurag Nadgir for being awarded a University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship for 2017 valued at $20,000.

He will study Biomedical Science at the University of Auckland, and aim to secure a spot in the second year of the University’s Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
