Why can't anybody just keep their beard for once? That sort of thing makes a memorable player, such as Bruce doulls headband or Dane swans tattoos. Nobody is remembered for being a square

The only people that will defend this type of behavior are port supporters. He did a runner because he was off his head. He's lucky he didn't kill anyone

An AFL player who claims he isn't fazed by no club wanting him? I guess it's good no one did it shows lack of passion, he should be guttered
I guess the swans are lucky you didn't stay

You're on $150,000 a year and cost of living is an issue? I know Sydney is expensive but that seems a bit rich....
12/02/2016 at 23:36
That's what happens when you get too greedy.. sorry Xavier, us swannies supporters thought you were great! Shame you wanted to move on.. good luck but I'm afraid you've bitten off more than you can chew

I struggle to find a bad word to say about Daniel, loved him at North, loved Hamish McIntosh too but look what happened to him when he chased the $.

From a Collingwood supporter, the club and Buckley are under pressure to preform, Buckley has admitted it will be hard for him to stay if they fail again this year. Chased older players to fill gaps for instant success, it never works, and may just have backfired.

I'm also looking forward to watching Shaun Edwards play his first game. He will be a good player for us exactly his excitement for us, which will make him a better player.

Good for the Suns footy club and good for the game. Not taking the easy way out by joining a Vic Club and instead sticking it out with the Club that showed a lot of promise in him.

There is a difference in leaving for money and leaving for a flag. He would have loved to stay at Richmond, but he is coming at the end of his career. He would have played for nothing if it meant a better chance at a flag.

Tighten rushed behind rule, coaches say

They should tighten up on the deliberate out of bounds rule, make it that opposition get a kick, just like in many other sports when the ball has gone out, whichever team touched it last, the opponent gets the ball - just need to work out the logistics. Just watch teams trying desperately to keep the ball in.......
11/30/2016 at 00:49
What if we made the rule , if you rush or touch the ball through the opposition's goals or points at all it's 3 points and then you kick out , this takes out any of the iffy umpiring decisions and will force teams to be more attacking.
11/30/2016 at 01:43
The fact they listed 6 rushed behind in 2016 is alarming. I watched multiple games over the season (even games my team didnt play in) and there were dozens across the board.

Clearly the family issues go a lot deeper than a simple whim to go back to Geelong. If anybody deserves a bit of time and space, it is this guy. Although I doubt he will receive it considering how much people love to kick those above them down.

The #AFL has again Snubbed Tasmania, absolutely disgusting.
When you consider all the money they get from tv rights, they still ignore the state.
Tasmania is the only state without a Football academy.
No wonder kids in Tasmania are playing more Basketball & Soccer in record numbers, it's because there is no longer a pathway to the #AFL.
Great article in today's Mercury about the #AFL's snub of Tasmania Football.
