Danihers bomb from the centre square after rucking was a much better highlight than rioli handballing between a players legs then playing for a stupid free...
04/25/2017 at 09:46
Number 9, really??? That's got to be one of the lamest non-highlights of all time.
04/25/2017 at 10:04
Having Cryil's handball through the legs at nine is absolute crap, what did it lead on to? Nothing that's what! What a waste of space, I saw about 10 things better today then that but the AFL love their little Cyril

The young stars came out to play for the Bombers, while Jamie Elliott showed why he's so important for the Magpies.

Have been a harsh critic of Daniher this season with little to no 2nd efforts, no forward pressure and zero tackles against Adelaide, however will say today's effort brings the Daniher name back to the dizzy heights his dad and uncles took it to ! Let's hope this is the start he needs to become as great an Essendon identity as they were

He played a good game, feel Tipungwuti was a bit stiff to not get it though.. Regardless, GO THE DONS!!
04/25/2017 at 08:22
Tigers fan but I gotta say I'm really enjoying watching you bombers play this year. Tippa is a freak of nature and one of the most exciting players to watch, in my opinion. Good game of footy.
04/25/2017 at 08:14
What a f**kin joke, I always thought the ANZAC Day medal was given to the best player on the field...
But yet they award it to f**kin Joe Daniher, instead of either Adam Treloar or Zac Merrett who were the best players on the field...
And I don't support either team what a joke the AFL has become....
And now on to bigger and better things a STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED!!!!

Has holding the ball been deleted from the game? Seen the pies caught with it cold 3 times in 5 mins and no whistle?? Wtf

Umpiring has been nothing short of a joke. Essendon getting robbed hard this quarter!

seen a few headlines this week referring to footy players as "soldiers" which is a bit of a disgrace. They run around chasing a ball for a living. Soldiers they are not.

Best game on tbe planet. Anzac Day clashes are epic. May the best team get up today. Lest We Forget.
04/25/2017 at 10:28
Andrew Stuart Brett poor viewing today. Anzac Day games have lost all feeling and spirit. No heart. This is what it should be like. Gone are these days. Left behind are mediocre players and game styles of what use to be. No substance what so ever and the umpires are partially to blame. Terrible for both sides. Anzac Day should be replaced with the two best teams. Not two battling teams.
04/25/2017 at 03:50
It looks so different now seeing Collingwood with the old white guernsey with black stripes instead of their current black guernsey with white stripes.

The deliberate rushed behind rule is back under the microscope and Melbourne's ruck depth is about to get severely tested.

This is why they should have mid season trades or the ability to add rookies from vfl, wafl, sanfl etc to ur list. Melbourne should be in finals contention this year but lose both of their most experienced ruckman now they will be up against it every week until the return of their rucks
04/25/2017 at 00:38
Both tigers were out in front, he could've caught the ball on 1st touch and handball it or launch out of the 50. It was 2v 2. He played with fire and got burned as a result.
04/25/2017 at 00:32
The rushed behind rule probably wouldn't even be a rule if Hawthorn didn't make a mockery of it and bring the game into disrepute back in 2008 causing the AFL to start implementing rush behind rules to preserve the look of the game.

Getting sick of all the knockers whining about Richmond having not played anybody. 5 games 5 wins . What more are they supposed to do you flogs?
04/25/2017 at 00:36
Demons were unlucky last night, cursed with injuries. You cannot win when you have 4 injured! This is not an excuse, just reality!
04/25/2017 at 02:05
After 7 seasons in the AFL he finally can justify overreacting to kicking a goal late in the game. He loves a self-indulgent celebration. Check out his match-winner in the dying minutes of last year's prelim final playing for the Cats against Sydney.

Round 5? I was sure Jack Riewoldt thought they'd won the flag 😂

You have to feel for melbourne
Clearly the better team for 3 quarters, but losing your ruckman and another player gifted Richmond the win.
But good job Richmond for taking the chance, years gone by they would have still lost. But they still haven't played a premiership credential team yet
If they lose by under 20 points next week then I believe they are a slight September chance

Richmond beat Carlton, Collingwood, west coast (here, easy) Brisbane. And lucky to get away with a win against a side with 2 on the bentch and no ruckman for a half. The new kangaroos.

Melbourne outplay them for 3 quarters and only get overrun due to only having 2 on the bench. I'm still not convinced Richmond are a great side but time will tell.

Nothing better then seeing Melbourne get beat. Most arrogant supporters in the game. All think petracca is God's gift to the world. Sorry to break it to you guys. But he's a spud.
All the tiger haters should focus on your own teams and we will focus on ours. Go tigers! Great wins and 5/0 only 3 teams can say that right now. And no i dont think tigers would come close to premiership this year im keeping a lid on it because i know from the past richmond can just cause heart attacks. But this is a new richmond 😍

Free kicks saved Richmond. Rioli didnt even know he won the free that turned the game. Kicking in danger was played in Tigers goal square , Martin was kicking in danger several times ,no penalty. Melbourne were 2 down, need to have Sub for injuries.
Richmond fans still think he is going to stay... The biggest red flag was when he went silent about his free agency and future with Richmond. He's gone after teams offer him the big $$$$.
Don't barrack for either team, but even I think Jack Riewoldt needs a punch in the face! Could learn quite a bit from his cousin Nick. Good game to watch, but some interesting umpiring. Well played Melbourne.

Is there a reason AFL players, don't participate in singing the National Anthem The camera scans the line of players and nothing. I don't expect players to sing at full gusto, but please some attempt. I think it is disrespectful. At the services so far this round, nothing from the players. Tomorrow is such a special day, get involved in the ceremony.

can we please get TV Coverage in regional NSW of AFL games especially the games of Sydney Swans and Grest Western Sydney Giants. I'm only 3.5 hrs drive from Sydney but got no coverage of Sydney Swans game this weekend. I think it's disgusting that there was only coverage in the city, when we can't get to a game we rely on TV coverage.

AFL rules committee have a good hard look at yourself. There is NO need to change rules. Deliberate out of bounds and rushed behind rules are b*llshit and no one can get the same interpretation twice in a row. #abolishrulechangingsubcommittees #leavethegamealone
yesterday at 10:50
As usual Jack stands in a hole and waits for an easy pass, kicks an easy goal then acts like he did everything himself. I don't know who believes their own hype more Jack Riewoldt or Jake Stringer?
Jack Riewoldt in big strife now for coming off the bench and getting involved in a melee when he wasn't one of the 18 on field players

Should have been suspended at least 1 match..head high contact..yes..force maybe minimal..but still head contact..and not accidental either #luckyboy
yesterday at 12:30
Nice consistency AFL, seems headbutts are ok now? Guess it depends on the colours you wear and your teams worth to the competition!

Only in the AFL can a player get fined for wrestling but another gets let off for headbutting. MRP showing once again that they are a joke.
A headbutt is a headbutt just like a trip is a trip, regardless of force. Pretty clear but MRP seem to struggle with the concept.
AFL's love child (Giants)
Head butting is always deemed as intentional and clearly not accidental
So how the hell can he be cleared for this?
Stupid interpretations by the AFL and MRP once again
