Each team gets 1 chance per game for any reveiw thats it Make the umpires accountable for their decisions Goal umpires r becoming to Lazy and relying on replays. HOLDS the game up. Didnt need this crap 10 yrs ago or longer

umpire like every game is the grand final. let the game go and just pay the obvious ones - most years the GF appears to be the one game that is umpired well. Might say it is the best umpires in control, but just seems to be umpired differently.
Generally I think the umpies are pretty good. Some need to be reminded that the game is not about them (right, Razor?). A perfect game is when the umpies aren't even noticed (right, Razor?). The AFL needs to establish a moratorium and leave the bloody game and its rules alone for 5 years, let the game develop organically and stop feeling the need to control absolutely everything (right, Razor?).

He has done 1 training session and he will be playing every game all of a sudden. Personally I find it hard to believe But i would love to see him out there playing his best footy

Bennell will play 'a great deal of football' - How enlightening, given he is a professional footballer. At least we know he hasn't switched codes to lawn bowls.

01/18/2017 at 02:22
Good he's just like old Joe the Goose Jenkins. Goes missing when he's team needs him. Just like against the Swans last year.
01/18/2017 at 01:50
Eddie is one of the true greats of the game. I have always enjoyed watching him play - would love to have him on the Gold Coast.

Legend. Hope he does well at the Dees, his time at hawthorn won't be forgotten.

He was a legend at Hawthorn. He will help Melbourne big time. Not sure if they will make the 8 but he will play a big part in the clubs younger player development.
01/17/2017 at 23:21
I'm not a Hawthorn or Melbourne fan but Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis going to other clubs is a great thing for not only the clubs they went to but for the good of the game. As we have not lost them once they retire, they will still be part of the game.

I reckon Hawkins needs to bulk down into a more lean mobile athletic player. When you look at his physique when he was drafted he was a lean super fit looking lad. Whilst his size is certainly an advantage at times, he is too slow and maneuvers like a Cruise Ship.
01/17/2017 at 03:07
Can he get a ball from off the ground yet ?
Cant believe he still gets a game.

Brisbane's 3 peat. Interstate team beating Collingwood at their home ground where they barely have to leave, every year, not just once, but twice! And beating the raging Bombers the year before. Amazing.
01/16/2017 at 02:15
OK, I'll bite. No Essendon 2000! OMG! WTF! LOL! One loss for the season, three finals won by a cumulative 220+ points, and they can't even make the top four. What are the kiddies smoking at AFL HQ?
01/16/2017 at 02:24
Port supporter. Lions 3peat hands down! Yes, Hawthorn and Geelong have had dominating eras and Essendon in 2000 were unbelievable BUT the Lions had to travel every second week. Brisbane to Perth isn't a walk in the park and they had to do that 3 years in a row. Plus they made the 04 GF aswell!

Heeney will probably win the B&F but won't win a Brownlow. Not to discredit his talent but competing with Hannebery and Kennedy for votes will be difficult
01/16/2017 at 01:31
Glad he signed on to stay with the swans. According to so called spud expert. Heeney was leaving, "swans mass exodus" Lmao 😂.
David Mc Donald

After a poor performance in the GF along with many of his other mates, who were taught a lesson by their opponents, needs more than a B&F to atone.

Have to say Adelaide is a pretty awesome place, and this coming from a Melburnian. Went there over the new year period and have to say it has a lot of upside, perhaps more than Melbourne - 1/3 the population so it's more peaceful, more reasonable housing prices, easy access to beaches, less urban sprawl, and no African crime gangs!

I am from the UK and love AFL - we get matches shown live over here. I would love to see an AFL game live one day but I want it to be in Australia. There would probably be a demand in London at Wembley - American NFL play many matches here but a packed MCG has to be the best place to watch it :)
I know we'll send Sheeds off to India for fishing expedition, that should keep him out of Woosha's hair, brilliant ring Qantas
Great Club, good initiative, but returns will be less to none since only dominant sports code named cricket exists ,nothing else gets accepted:-(Hope the greatest game gets played over there!!!
