First mushrooms of the season.! But it's supposed to be summer. There is a real dewy crispness to the mornings now and a sense that maybe summer just slipped by without entering the room. Yesterday was amazing day and today looks to be the same but after so much cold and the recent snow the soil temperatures have really dropped and I am not sure if my tomatoes and chillies will actually ripen....

Sunday lunch platter with last nights leftovers and delicious homemade hummus! Such an easy and cheap way to jazz up a meal - I just use a can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed, 1 large tbsp tahini, juice of half a lemon, 1 clove of garlic, water, salt and pepper. Yum ????????
Making my fave turkish breakfast. - menemen Just cook off onions peppers and tomatoes until saucy then add whisked eggs and scramble add doll and turkish pepper or espellete. So simple and so good
