Flashback Friday: in 2005 I became the first Indian musician to play at the #GrammyAwards when my album Rise was nominated. My old friend KARSH KALE accompanied on tabla, with Barry Philips on cello. Clothes by @taruntahiliani with homemade hair and makeup-back in the day before red carpet pressure got stupidly scary!

"As my friend, the dear departed Princess Leia, told me, 'Take your broken heart, turn into art.'" - Meryl Streep. YES. I needed this little nudge back into action. I was starting to feel helpless and she reminded me to fight. Fight with my weapons, my heart, my truth, my art.
This time next week I will be in LA getting ready to perform my father's Raga-Mala, Sitar Concerto no.2, with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra. For tickets head to [ Link ]
