Artistic gymnasts from nine different countries, including World and Olympic Champions have arrived in Australia for the World Cup Gymnastics Melbourne, which kicks off tomorrow at Hisense Arena.

Softball Australia have signed one of the most pivotal agreements in women’s softball history - a partnership between Softball Australia and NATIONAL PRO FASTPITCH (NPF) for the 2017 season.

The agreement will allow for eight Australian female athletes to play professionally for the Chicago Bandits in one of the best softball competitions in the world.

Scotty James has put down β€œthe run of his life” to win gold at the Phoenix PyeongChang Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup.

His victory today has won James the prestigious FIS SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP Halfpipe Crystal Globe for the overall 2016/2017 World Cup series!

In an Australian first, James is the current World Cup, World Championship and X Games champion.

Two-time Olympic medallist Jessica Fox - Canoe Slalom Athlete has posted one of her best ever runs to win the women’s K1 canoe slalom gold at the Australian Open, adding to the C1 title she won 24 hours earlier.

Fox's younger sister Noemie won silver in yesterday's C1, and in doing so secured her place in the Australian senior team.
