I was a little kid mostly in the 60s. My mom rang a cowbell to get the 5 of us to come home and eat from wherever we were. lol! Egg salad sandwiches or pb&j with chips and a Twinkie for dessert. Those were the days!

I make myself a fried baloney sandwich once in a while.... on toast with American cheese, lettuce, mustard, and ruffles chips on the sandwich. Instantly transports me back to Saturday's at home with my Dad. God the memories.

I was a child of the 60's & 70's. My mother always knew where we were. If we went on a sleepover, we were supposed to call when we got there. I think some of these articles are somewhat exaggerated.

My parents were actually friends after they divorced..remarried. Made life easier for my sisters and I. Even as we got older and had kids. My Dad passed three months after my stepmom:( My mom is remarried, but actually the three months that my Dad had cancer my mom took care of him before he died. I will always be thankful that she took care of my Daddy:) This guy in the story is doing it right! His kids will benefit from it:)

The world needs more men like you. Unfortunately my ex husband doesn't treat me this way to show our 3 boys, but my fiancé is amazing and will stand in to show the boys how to respect women and their mommy.

Love this idea design-wise, with some kids it could work. With my son, and his obsession with dinosaurs, he would try to take that nob off probably. I do have his room organized with pictures on each bin. He has been taught to classify and organize according to each picture on bin. He rarely mixes them up and notices when there's something that does not belong.

OK we have a toy organizer like that lol one for hot wheels one for just random .little toys and one for lego , i have been teaching him to put his toys in the proper box , 1000 x a day lol he still all gets mixed.together lol

Thoughtful article. I feel this way about being a working mother. One aspect of your life gives you reprieve from the other, and in turn it makes both so much more rewarding.
