Six army reservists from Birmingham and Hereford have completed their hazardous expedition to reach the centre of the South Pole. The 6, known as Spear 17, became the first military team to complete a crossing on skis. Only three teams in history have ever gone before them.
On Monday's programme, we hope to catch up with them via satelite phone. That's at 6.30 on BBC1.

In 1914, the polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton gathered 28 men to explore the Antarctic - three of them from Birmingham. His ship, The Endurance, was destroyed - but there was just about time to recover a collection of incredible photographs, documenting life on board. For the first time, they're on show in Birmingham.

It's feared thousands of fish may have been killed after a river in Shropshire was polluted. The Environment Agency has set up an incident room, after chemicals were found in the River Morda, near Oswestry.

A four-year-old from Telford has been praised for calling the police after his mum collapsed at home. Jacob Onions from Arleston told the police call-handler "Mummy is asleep and she won't get up," and then continued "Mummy is on the floor. Mummy has hurt herself. She isn't talking." The call was then traced to their house and the emergency services were sent to her aid.
