Fowey is to get its Red Arrows display back this summer. The display team has not performed as part of the town's Regatta Week for the past two years because of bad weather and new safety rules. Officials in Fowey said the town was suffering because of it. But now the Harbour Commissioners have successfully campaigned to bring the display back.

It is three weeks since a whale was first spotted off the south Devon coast and people from all over the UK are continuing to flock to Slapton to try to catch a glimpse of it. Many businesses are also reporting a rise in trade as news of the humpback being seen so close to the shore is circulated on the internet.

A paediatrician who made indecent images of children and shared them has today been jailed for three years at Exeter Crown Court. Forty-seven-year-old Jonathan Walsh, seen here in the red coat, worked at the North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple at the time of the offences. He now lives in Lancashire. None of the images relate to children in his care.

Doc Price is 85 and thought to be the world's oldest tattoo artist.

He still works from a studio in Plymouth and was in Falmouth visiting the British Tattoo Art Revealed exhibition at the National Maritime Museum.
