On Sunday at the American Society of Haematology conference, Dr Richard Dillon accepted an Exemplary Service Award on behalf of Professor David Grimwade, who sadly passed away this year.

The award recognises Professor Grimwade’s contributions to improving the care of patients with acute leukaemia, and training the next generation of blood cancer researchers.

Andrew was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) when he was just three-and-a-half years old & spent the next three years going through treatment.
