I'm sorry to hear another has joined the Fibro community. I was diagnosed almost 12 years ago at 18. It's a total b!tch of a condition but it's not all negative. I learnt to appreciate the good days and to appreciate the people I love and their patience and tolerance. Yes, I'm in pain, yes I'm exhausted but it won't take all the good from my life.

Bristol Post this illness needs to be looked into and made more public as the people who suffer with this and related illnesses really do go through hell emotionally and physically breaks my heart when I see my daughter suffering so badly and go around trying to get her help but come up against brick walls
01/16/2017 at 22:54
For those new to fibro, it can affect people in different ways. I was diagnosed last year and in July I could barely walk, off work and falling asleep all the time. With the right medication, loosing weight and slowly increasing my walking distance I am feeling a lot better. Although I have learned to give in when my body tells me too.

Why don't they do what the Germans do? Abolish road tax completely and increase the tax in petrol prices... yes the price of fuel will go up but it's a fairer and easier "pay as you drive" system... I drive my car no more than 100 miles a week, and I'm paying the same as someone who does double the mileage
01/16/2017 at 17:42
Tut tut Bristol Post, you use the term "Road Tax", now if you bothered to read any of the comments section in about 90% of your articles, (the ones where you try to Stoke up tension between commuters) you will see that road tax hasn't been paid since 1937.

'On the front of the book reads: "A story about life, death, love, sex and swearing."'
Maybe cotton wool mum needs to be more vigilant or not interfere with her child's choices. Can't have it both ways.
01/16/2017 at 17:24
Erm cotton wool much. Look There is far worse online that can be got much easier.
A book in context Ie the character makes you understand why it's the way it is.
I grew up in that library and others I'd read all of Steven kings books by 14 and most of those are way worse.
Think it's something blown out of perportion and should be dealt with internally.

I hear kids in my area use all manner of swear words regularly...they must all be reading this book.

and not one person in the walking group thought to maybe phone someone else for a lift or go get their car to take her to a&e themselves in the three hours if the wait was that bad? bit of common sense..
01/16/2017 at 15:19
She doesn't want to be named yet you've plastered a picture of her on Facebook 🤔
01/16/2017 at 16:43
I'm getting so tired of this constant bashing of the incredibly overstretched ambulance service by the media. Why can't people use basic common sense these days? Why was she left lying on the floor? I appreciate she wasn't near the road so getting a car directly to her would be difficult, but I am assuming her other leg was uninjured so could a couple of people not have helped her hop to the road?

It's not confusing. People don't look further than the length of their nose. Somebody clearly needs to retake their driving test if they can't negotiate a roundabout properly.
01/16/2017 at 14:10
and I'm not surprised about where it has happened. That roundabout's road markings are confusing to say the least.
01/16/2017 at 18:46
Its a brand new road thats just opened of course its going to cause a bit of confusion for a while at least til people get used to it. If people took a bit more care instead of rushing into it head on then there wouldn't be half the problems.

I made a mistake putting my reg into the machine at my Doctors and I appealed it and they accepted the mistake and wiped the fine away. Same company different doctors. Also they said if you could prove you were in the doctors they would wipe the fine. Had to be done within 14 days.
01/16/2017 at 11:23
Surely only the exceeding the parking time fine will stand .. That's irrelevant of her putting the wrong reg in, but I'm sure if it's private companies then they aren't legally binding ..
01/16/2017 at 11:55
Took me from August till last week to get my parking ticket from there squashed as I was registering as a new patient and the registration wasn't on there system they made me jump through pretty much every hoop possible I think they just annoy people into paying theses tickets

01/16/2017 at 08:14
GPs aren't allowed leave then aye?
I'm guessing we're hearing the refined civilised version here rather than all the shouting he's probably done at reception and all the rest of it, I doubt he'd have been removed solely based on a large volume of complaints, aggressive behaviour is typically the reason most people are removed isn't it?
It's almost like people are completely unaware of the extreme pressures the NHS is under extreme at the moment.

😂😂 id have kicked them out too!? Ungrateful fools, "doctor wouldn't come out to the house" that might be because they have other patients to deal with! Too many people wanting a private service on the NHS, abuse it and this is what happens! Serves you right!
