The province is still covering the preparation of the body and an urn or casket. Charities, churches, or friends can all help with the service costs. The government should not be responsible for everything in life.
Let's be real though peeps
"The government said in its March budget that it will cover basic preparation of a body, transfers, a standard casket or urn and regulatory fees. Viewings or services will be the responsibility of the family."
Cremation is the way to go, casket and burial is oldschool and not worth communal money. If one wants to be traditionally, expensively, and non sensically, *buried*, family can cover it.
My son was on AISH for disabled people in Alberta. I was impressed that the government covered the costs of basic cremation and a wooden urn. I never ever considered that it should cover funds for a service or reception. People can have a pot luck gathering at a house without much cost.

The leafs played a hell of a series. They have nothing to be sad about. Next year they will go further.

Poor defensive zone coverage by the leafs the whole series, great goal tending good offense, just bad in their own zone. Hopefully the right changes are made for next year.

The most corrupt provincial government in Ontario's history is getting into a business where millions of dollars slosh around everyday, billions in wealth will be vapourized, that's a given. If the feds wanted to slow down the housing market, they would stop importing hundreds of thousands of people per year, that's a given too.

I find it disheartening to watch/listen to the anti Montréal Canadiens HNIC commentators, in particular Garry Galley. How is it that your employees are permitted to display their distaste on air for the Montréal Canadiens? Professionalism?
/unbiased?... Other notable mentions include Ron McLean, Don Cherry, Craig Simpson and Jim Hughson. Your hockey programming would be that much more pleasurable is you didn't allow this sort of behavior.

Being religious makes me question your judgment, reason and willingness to make evidence based decisions and instantly disqualifies a political candidate in my opinion, especially if you're so devoted to the fairytale that you feel obligated to wear specific garb. We need less religious people in government, not more.

Whats wrong with just being a person elected to the legislature. Why do people always have to bring race or religion into it. This only continues to dived us.

I believe in best person for the job. Maybe it has nothing to do with your turban, but your qualifications and peoples perception of you and what you stand for. Don't pull the race/religion card to get voted in not on your own merits.

I can't believe this baffoon is still in power. He makes ridiculous, over-boisterous claims, he's a raging egomaniac that childishly lashes at anyone who doesn't sing his praise, his supporters are basically brain washed, and no one with half a brain takes anything he says seriously.
Huh, would you look at that. That could describe either of the two country's leaders.

Trump escalated the mess let him work it out. He is such a bully and thinks because he is president he can intimidate countries and make false accusations. Running a country is not like running his businesses.

Truth is we don't know the circumstances yet. It will come to light but for the meantime we shouldn't play the blame game yet. They haven't been charged yet. By no means am I defending their actions if they're responsible but we need to wait to see what actually occurred. Until then, RIP Little angel, you're in a better place now. 💕💕

Just saw five bunnies in a nearby play park, they were nesting under the slide. At first no one noticed but one of them hopped out...
Then hell broke loose, all the kids were trying to 'help' them in their own way. Most parents knew what to do so their kids were just watching. But not all. My girls were kind of guarding them. When last news came in all five were under the slide again. hope they are doing well and they move to a safer place during the night.

Something that many people do not understand. Often in the comments you see people carrying on about how much land there is and we can just keep growing. Not all land is equal. Not all soil will grow food in quantities we need to feed the WORLD. Maybe we should content ourselves feeding Canada. Teach the world to feed itself. But the corporate elite effers have already destroyed a lot of the growing land. Cash in their pocket.

It's bizarre that small scale producers are shut out. Regulations are fine, Massachusetts isn't the wild west, Portland Maine isn't the wild west, even in Republican states like Florida they are working on zoning regulations for private marijuana clinics Establishments and dispensaries. We are still so far behind. I won't be going to the LC for weed, so if that's the big game plan, it's a non starter and a fail.
