Central Park's North Woods restored for all to enjoy

In honor of International Women's Day, we're recognizing native New Yorker Emma Stebbins, the first woman to receive a public art commission in New York City. Her famous Angel of the Waters statue atop Bethesda Fountain commemorates the Croton water system, which first brought fresh water to the city in 1842.
Take a relaxing stroll through the Hallett Nature Sanctuary with us. The birds (almost!) drown out the noise of the city.
