Blessing travelled all the way from Knysna to receive special treatment at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. He suffers with multiple food allergies, causing him to have persistent nausea and vomiting. It has been a long and exhausting journey for little Blessing. He is now on a special diet and is starting to eat again and gain back his strength. Let's send Blessing best wishes.

Meet Zoe, she has captured the hearts of so many with her sweet nature. She suffers with Epilepsy and has been in hospital twice as a result of her seizures. Doctors at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital have been giving Zoe the best medical care and after spending a week in ICU she can finally go home with her mom.

Thoughts are with the children and their families who are affected by the several fires around Cape Town this past weekend. Today we celebrate World Kidney Day. The first renal transplant at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital was performed in 1968 and since 1990, an average of eight kidney transplants have been performed a year on children at the Hospital. These are just a few nurses from the Oncology Unit at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, who along with the rest of the staff are selfless in everything they do. As we celebrate Cancer Awareness Month, we would like to thank them and acknowledge that without their dedication and expertise, many children would not get the fighting chance that they do.
