For the VIP event will the players be lined up at tables and the fans get shuffled in and rushed so you can't say 2 words to any of them like last year? So disappointed the way it was set up last year. No time to say anything to any of them. Gotta figure out a way to let the fans enjoy being with the players.

For the VIP event, can a season ticket holder bring someone or buy a ticket for someone as a 'plus one' of sorts?

For the VIP event, would I have to purchase a ticket for my 3 year old??

Each Pearl Harbor Day, we take time to reflect upon the life and career of Bob Feller, who was the first MLB player to enlist after the attacks. Thank you, Bob!

My late friend, Bob Feller. Miss you. Thanks to friend Lou Gmiendl for introducing Lynne and me to Bob Feller. Loved our time together with you and Lori and Bob. Especially at Spring Training in Florida.

I was a Navy man as well, Storekeeper Bob had a great record. Just think what things would have been like without the war. But it works both ways. Guys like Ted Williams would have been around.

He was related to my neighbors, the Schullers? and I was introduced to him in their backyard ... quite a thrill for a youngster.
We're proud to say our front office staff donated nearly 500 items to Cleveland-based The Centers for Families and Children as part of our Adopt-a-Family program!

Awesome job from a classy team.
Please do not sign Jose Bautista. He doesn't belong in this organization.

On this day in 1989: We reluctantly traded Joe Carter to the Padres, but it turned out OK -- we got Carlos Baerga and Sandy Alomar Jr. in return.

True... I have nothing but love for both those guys, BUT Joe Carter went on to win two World Series...including a walk-off. He was a major contributor to a team that broke through. Who really won that trade?
12/06/2016 at 23:12
I'm just glad that our front office is no longer afraid to take a chance. Andrew Miller being the perfect example, sure we lost prospects but damn it turned out well! Chris Antonneti is the man!

I was living in SAN Diego at the time. We went to every Pads game back at the old Jack Murphy stadium. I was such a tribe fan that I'd wear Indians stuff w Padre ratings. I had just fallen for The Tribe - AWESOME DAYS⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾❤❤☮☮😎

What a difference between those who acquire talent for the Indians and those who acquire talent for the Browns.

Would love to see Allen get some playing time up at the major league level this season. Has some pretty dynamic athleticism.

Lindor's Believeland cleats should be standard issue, in my opinion. :)

Just go straight Sandlot and get Converse to make high top Chucks in cleats. Air brush indians on it.
You must read the story of a favorite of ours, "Popper," who retired after Game 7.
Our local writers bestowed a new honor upon him after the conclusion of our season.

I worked with Popper the last 5 years. Great guy who always wanted to help, he did so much around Quicken Loans Arena. Already miss having him around... congrats popper

I remember him, too. Wishing him all the best!

I remember him when I worked down at the stadium. Happy retirement to him and good luck!

Could've really used him and Salazar.. I still dunno why Tito didn't ride with Merritt. I'm not a big Bauer fan as a starter. Like the guy just know he gives up a lot.
12/05/2016 at 12:22
All the signs are pointing till this next season. All our guys are back , we proved that we could go to WS with many people injured, and we have one of the greatest managers in baseball

if only we had Cookie in the world series :'( Cubs caught a BIG break there.

But they still lost the world series.

I'm so glad. He quietly earned it. When I saw him in Spring Training last year, he looked like a different player than the one I saw during the season the year before, and I became a huge fan (since I am impressed when anyone can rise to the occasion and transform himself). He proved me right again and again this year, and went beyond my expectations. Yay, Jose!
12/04/2016 at 16:13
Glad he's finally getting some recognition. And btw Ty Daly, going to 10 innings in Game 7 of the Works Series is not something to be ashamed of.

I have been an Indians fan forever I love the Tribe win or loose I've been to a couple of games but the one game that I love to watch over and over again is when Tyler hit that inside the park home run!!! His face was priceless I loved it!!! But every game is great to watch!!! Keep it going guys and make 2017 the best year ever!!! Can't wait for April!!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾ Let's go Tribe!!!
12/04/2016 at 11:09
I'd have to say my first game at the then Jacobs field got to sit in a suite with my dad and some other people he worked with the Indians were down 8 to nothing and won the game on a Paul Sorrento walk off homer
12/04/2016 at 13:17
Way back in high school my mother would let me take a day off of school just so the two of us could go to the home openers at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. This one particular game we were so cold and there was snow in the air. We huddled under blankets. I can't tell you any details of that game except the warm memories. Of being with my mother. She would have been so proud of our team this year. The Indians bring people together. ❤⚾

Melt's options at the ballpark are abysmal compared to the much better tasting stuff at the actual restaurants. The Parmageddon is hardly the best they have to offer.
Also, I'll take the Pierogi Sausage over anything at Melt.

We tendered contracts to eight of our nine arbitration-eligible players on Friday, with Jeff Manship being the only non-tender.
That, of course, doesn't rule out a return for Jeff, who was a solid contributor the last two seasons. More details below.

What is wrong with the Indians that they would let Manship go but keep Shaw?? How many times does he need to screw up in order to be let go? Come on!
12/04/2016 at 01:57
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say everyone knocking Shaw needs to be an Indians fan for more than the last week of the season. He's one of the better relievers in the game.
Brian D. Parsons
12/04/2016 at 00:58
Manship would have been the more affordable option going forward. Three years of control and Shaw will walk after next year. Manship is older and has worse career numbers, but Shaw's numbers have gotten steadily worse over the last few years. Much better than McAllister as well.

Hey, it was a good series. It took the Cubs 10 innings into game 7 to stop our Tribe. 2016 is theirs, but 2017 will be the year the Indians win it all!
12/03/2016 at 01:15
A man of holding his side of the deal. But let's face it Cleveland. We witnessed the greatest World Series probably ever. A valiant effort for our Tribe but Cubs fought harder and rightfully earned. Like a true Clevelander always said "there's always next year"
12/03/2016 at 00:12
LeBron is so proud of CLE so this doesn't faze him a bit.....little itchy but he knows the open window the Cavs and Tribe are in now are enviable by all. ALL. Tell me what City could compete.
