It's really quite simple, it's called natural law. People really should know better than to perpetrate violence against someone in their own castle.

This is awesome. They haven't been robbed in all those yrs (23) but still had a employee that carried daily. Goes to show better to be prepared. Great situational awareness and quick thinking. 👍💯

Here is my XDs 45 ACP 3.3 Inch. In my Alien Gear Holster. My everyday carry.
I currently carry the full size XDm 45 4-1/2" barrel. I'm looking to pick up the XDs 45 4" barrel for summer carry. I put TractionGrips on my XDm and will also use them on the new gun. I guess I'm just a hardnosed old fart for wanting my 45 knock down power. I see nothing wrong with the XDs 9 or 40, just prefer the 45 is all. And the 4" barrel won't make it stand out any because it's inside my waist anyways. I'm sold on the XD line ever since I shot my first one.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the .40S&W cartridge. But I'll never understand why anyone would choose it for a small, single stack platform like the XDs. It's sort of like shooting .357 out of a J-frame: somewhat less than enjoyable.

What other arguments can you think of, in support of Constitutional Carry?
Constitutional Carry: The Three Best Arguments In Favor

This argument about permitless conceal carry is what I've been saying for a long time. Criminals will have guns regardless of the laws, so why should I be required to carry a permit? When crooks dont know who's packing, they are a lil more cautious where they commit crimes.
02/18/2017 at 23:10
There's only one argument. "Shall not be infringed."
02/18/2017 at 23:18
The ONLY down side to constitutional carry is reciprocity. If your state is permitless, that isn't recognized by other states. So most of us would get the permit anyway if we're ever going to travel. Hopefully one day all fifty states will be constitutional carry and that won't apply anymore.

The credit or rewards card is a great idea. I use FrogLube, however, for the same reason I stopped using Hoppes, etc etc; it doesn't stink, it's biodegradable, non-caustic and works just like all the CLP products. But that's just me.
Thanks for the video.

no reason to use a clearer and a lubricator on all the inner parts of a pistol. all that is going to do is bind more crap to clean.. follow the manufacturers recommended cleaning. I have a SW M&P 45 shield.. Only lubricate 7 small areas.
02/18/2017 at 20:15
I had never used the edge of an old "rewards" or "Gift" card for that purpose but that worked pretty good.

Government officials that make laws and or vote on laws against "we the people" and then brake those laws should be held accountable immediately.
This happens all over the country with most politicians and family members being " above the law "
Like having diplomatic immunity, it's pure b.s.!
02/18/2017 at 22:28
Who would have thought a Cuomo appointee would break the law? Fire the asshole. If I can't carry he can't carry. Government buildings have always been off limits, in all states. File charges and make him do the same time anyone else would have to.
02/18/2017 at 19:53
Perhaps the gun was empty. 🙄 Oh wait, I seem to remember something about the first rule of gun handling. . .
Perhaps he was being really careful NOT to let it flag anybody or anything he wasn't willing to destroy. . .
Do you suppose that he at least kept his finger off the trigger (while somehow engaging the laser)?
Seems like a good candidate to me.

As a female gun nut who carries in body daily and trains at least once a week, I get sick of the stupid women who buy a gun, stick it in their purse (because looking "cute" in their impractical girly outfit is more important than safety) and don't train with it or give it a second thought. They give the rest of us, especially us female gun owners, a bad name.
02/18/2017 at 15:05
This has virtually nothing to do with off-body carry. Instead, it has everything to do with a criminally irresponsible gun owner.
Irresponsible gun owner is to blame. You either wear it or leave it at home secured. That's why your packing it right, self defense! Then why is it not with you, does no good with no immediate access. You never know when the threat will present itself.

Years ago I was house sitting and in bed late at night when I heard noises. I got up and opened the bed room door when I saw a man standing there with a gun at his side.
I almost raised my gun to fire when I realized I was seeing myself in a full length mirror on a hallway closet door.
02/18/2017 at 04:28
A bright flashlight by the bed, temporary blindness and allows you time to identify that it's not your kid. Also not being mounted to the firearm keeps you from having to point your firearm at them. Just my opinion, hope I never have to find out

Whatever makes the person carrying feel comfortable is the right way
02/17/2017 at 02:14
Excellent, if you do not want it on, keep it off, as I do. But once removed from the holster for night use or storage, the safety is an added feature that comes in handy.
Only arrogance or ignorance would lead anyone to believe a handgun is better without one. Having it is awesome, use it when it is necessary or handy or never. It is like carrying a firearm, you carry to be prepared, your gun should have all the options available, to be prepared.
02/17/2017 at 02:09
I carry an SR9 with a manual safety. I am left handed and this pistol is fully ambidextrous. It doesn't matter, safety or not you have to practice. Go to the range and practice. Muscle memory will save your life if you are ever in a self defense situation.

I sure hope some of these comments are not serious.
Why would you carry more than most police officers carry? My guess is you are either extremely scared or you live in Chicago.
All you need is your gun, holster of your choice and perhaps an extra mag. But the statistics show you won't need the extra magazine.
Anything more than that is not only unnecessary but makes it difficult to conceal and more likely to show that you're ready for the Middle East
Kimberly-and Cletus Vandamme Herndon
02/17/2017 at 01:20
Gun belt, kydex holster, firearm, spare mag, flashlight with the most lumens you can afford, pocket knife. These are absolutes. Everything else
is window dressing.
02/17/2017 at 03:28
My CCW firearm, a spare mag, my cell phone, and Fox 5.3 OC. Working on a trauma kit.
I'm a believer in a less lethal option for the situation that you can't walk away from, but also can't deploy lethal force. Anybody dumb enough to persist when faced with OC will change their tune 3 seconds after you paint them with it.

I live in NC and this poor guy broke our law plain and simple. The article says "a gun owner", it doesn't say "a concealed carrier". I recommend anyone planning to own a gun to at least take the concealed carry class to learn the laws and safety of having a firearm. You don't have to apply for the CCW but at least have the course on the laws and safety.
02/16/2017 at 22:37
I kinda feel for the guy as I (probably most of us) have had things stolen. Nobody wants their stuff stolen, but this is 90% mental training (knowldege of the law) and 10% common sense. Good luck ever legally owning a gun in the future...
02/17/2017 at 00:19
Personally ,property can be replaced .the threat level was not great enough to use deadly force .my opinion only , also I wonder what type of rounds he used .

Same way I would when not carrying.. except I would say.."Oh, by the way, I am a concealed weapons permit holder and I am currently carrying at this time. I would appreciate it if you would proceed discretely if you feel the need to have me disarm".
Simple. We both want to go home without being shot and I would rather not have friggin everyone driving/walking by know I'm armed.
I don't want any surprises and neither to they.
02/16/2017 at 21:21
Funny thing. I was a witness at an accident seen and when the officer approached me I handed him my license and CCW permit and said "Just letting you know I'm CCW" and his reply was " ohhh...I don't care about that as long as you don't shoot me" but he said it in a way like he didn't know I was doing what I was supposed to do. Go figure!

I'm fortunate in that I live in a small town (900 people) so I'm friendly with all the police here and most of them dont even bat an eyebrow when I walk up to them carrying out in the open... but most other cities, I always hand them my CHL with drivers license even when I don't have to. Its all about respect...you show them respect and they will show you respect

An intruder in my home... fleeing or not... is considered a danger to a member of my family until the point that they exit the dwelling.
Don't judge me, you don't know me, the occupants of my home or the layout of my home.
02/16/2017 at 21:31
More people are killed with hammers and other blunt instruments each year than all long guns combined...
... so yeah.. they should have shot them.
02/17/2017 at 18:14
The hit in the head with a hammer is enough reason to shoot him, fleeing or not!!!! They would have killed the homeowner had he not had a gun!! They were STILL in his home I don't give a rats ass which way they were facing!!!!

It won't take long for criminals to learn to shoot and kill everyone first and then take the money. That day is coming. Criminals will never stop being criminals. They will adapt and overcome like they always have.
