Today in 1968, Creedence Clearwater Revival​ performed at the 2-day San Francisco International Pop Festival at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Other acts included Deep Purple​, Eric Burdon And The Animals​ and Procol Harum​.
In September of 1971, Creedence Clearwater Revival set out on a month-long European tour - several dates of which were recorded. The result was the double album "Live in Europe."

On October 11th and 12th, 1968, Creedence Clearwater Revival played the Fillmore East in NYC. The first night, they opened for The Beach Boys, and the second night, for The Turtles. Not too shabby! Unfortunately, as the opening band, they were not included on the marquee:
46 years ago this week, "Lookin' Out My Back Door"/"Long as I Can See the Light" peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Diana Ross' "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" snaged the #1 spot.
