Everyone operates on their own time schedule. I like to keep moving, and if I am trying to move quickly, to be fair, I am concerned with myself getting to my destination quicker, and not necessarily "group thinking" about efficiency. Also, if there are stairs, I always take the stairs, up or down. I realize that not everyone has that option, but the stairs are always open. Plus, it is free exercise.
Obvious! For the same reason you cant walk on a merry go round without pushing it backwards.
BUT if you're in a hurry, just move left and zoom. Why care for people who want to enjoy their whole "escalator" experience?
There is a flaw in this, however. It assumes that there is capacity at the end for the increased traffic. Consider that in London, for example, the cars at peak time can't hold the people arriving at the already slower rate. "Stand on the left" could actually be an effective platform crowd control method that requires no additional staff and prevents slow down (people blocking doors) of the train service.

this is not accurate, there are many reasons a person would either choose to say everyone is great or people suck. it's about how you protect yourself, your way of fitting into society. depressed people act nice and self assured people show less sympathy for people. then there are the people who act tough who have low self esteem, and people who are nice and have high self esteem. basically take more time to observe people and don't depend on a simple solution to figuring out how a person ticks.

so basically don't be honest...

Looking at it I think it looks like a well designed part of the face that keeps fluid from a runny nose out of the mouth by directing it sideways and the bump along the top of the lip helps the fluid run away.
But maybe that's to simplistic 😂

And then…just before we are born…the angel gives us a little "tap" between the nose and the upper lip and everything he taught is immediately forgotten. That is how all human beings receive that small indentation in the skin beneath their noses, anatomically known as the "philtrum."

The expression, "Hold onto your hats" originated in the 1500's in Ireland. Men were often working outdoors and their hats would blow away in storms. Later it evolved to mean someone who was generally in a dicey situation, and later became more about excitement. I made all of this up, though.

8 planets? Did one blow up or something. The last I heard we have 8 regular planets and 1 dwarf planet, which is a total of 9 planets, unless there are more dwarf planets that I don't know about which would increase the number of planets in our solar system beyond the 9 that I do know about.
