The estate derives its name (Galamuduna) from an unusual rock situated on top of the hill. Ma Oya, one of Sri Lanka’s major rivers begins its journey within the surroundings of the estate, cascading down in a stunning waterfall. Galamuduna is recorded to be the 7th tea factory to be registered in Ceylon.
