Assistant Minister for Health Ken Wyatt today announced a record number of lives saved in 2016. Thanks to the generosity of 503 deceased donors and their families, a record 1,448 Australians were given a second chance in life. A further 267 received a living donation including 44 transplants, under the Australian Paired Kidney Exchange Program.
