Members of the public rang police yesterday concerned about the manner of driving of this Vauxhall Zafira car.

RPU intercepted the vehicle in Castle Eden and discovered the driver had no licence. Off to the cells, car seized

We're concerned for the welfare of Steven Matthison, aged 53 from Stanley who has been missing for some time.

He was located as a direct result of information passed on by members of the public. Thanks everyone, good to know so many people in our communities are really supportive☺

Police have praised drivers for listening to their messages
during a week-long mobile phone campaign.
