It’s exactly a year since the passing away of Sheikh Ahmed Amir, who led tarawih for more than 15 years at the East London Mosque. His memorable recitation will be deeply missed and remembered for years to come. We pray that Allah (swt) grants him the highest place in Jannah. Please remember him and his family in your duas.

Thanks to #bbcnews for covering #VisitMyMosque day at the East London Mosque
The East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre #VisitMyMosque Day was a success! With over 600 visitors throughout the day, many guests were able to learn and talk about Islam, and also see live prayers take place. We would like to thank everybody that took part and our special thanks to colleagues at the Muslim Council of Britain.
"...this Sunday over 150 mosques around the country are participating in Visit My Mosque day. For the third consecutive year, mosques will be welcoming in their neighbours for tea, biscuits, and an opportunity to build bridges and talk about their faith beyond the negative headlines."
