I like the way Toto puts together an answer (that's why he's boss): "developmental phase" I love that answer. That's an intelligent way of saying "he's not good enough" or "he'll wreck our cars"...

Maybe because the little śhît just got into F1 and hasn't proved a damm thing? Seriously when people were saying he was gonna replace Rosberg all I could do is laugh.

Toto has a point but it's obviously a gamble whether the driver can make it or not.
McLaren straight up got Lewis back in 2007 and he almost won WDC as rookie. So why wouldn't (or couldn't) it work for Pascal?

I'm not a Hamilton fan at all, but he is the first truly dominate British driver since Sir Jackie (no offence Nige!) Who raced 40 years before Lewis did. You might be waiting a while

the next one must be gentleman like Button not dirty arrogant like Hamilton

Much as I love F1, have done so for the past 50+years, it is only part of my life. The boring drivers are those who make it their entire life and have zero to contribute to conversation in the sport. Those who also have other aspects of their life can give broader perspectives on the sport and their own part in it.

He's just taking time away from younger more talented drivers!

I almost agree with you about returning back. But i think Williams is NOT Torro Rosso to gamble with two young drivers. Imagine a minute with the two drivers with an ego of Ham??? Williams is 4th on thebgrid will drop to last!!.... That would be a catastrophy...Money, sponsors, to much to risk.
01/20/2017 at 18:52
Or was it hard for Claire, eating a large dose of humble pie, pleading for the driver she had just pushed out in favour of the billionaire's boy, to come back into the team ? Massa was always looking for a racing opportunity after announcing he was leaving F1.

If he beat Pascal, his value will increase massively.
If he gets beaten, he will count his F1-days but have given it at fair shot.
01/19/2017 at 15:42
Being Swedish, of course I cheer for Marcus. This year will be interesting though. I don't see Marcus being super fast as the top tier drivers, but it will be interesting to see him measure up against a hyped driver like Wehrlein.
01/19/2017 at 20:06
Will be an interesting year. Wouldn't surprise me if Ericsson actually comes out on top over the season. It all depends on if the car is a tank like yesteryear, then Werhlein risk at being a crybaby and then he is toast. Ericsson is to strong mentally for that. With that said, I still think Werhlein is the faster one but I thought that about Nasr also and it didn't go to well for him last year except being at the right place and not be called in for intermediate in Brazil.

Bernie has been good for f1, but now its time to catch up with the times. Let the new kids take it and move onward and upward. PS, retired drivers should not be able to be interveiwed, they have had their day, different ball game these days! Just saying
01/19/2017 at 15:25
A lot of people here probably have no clue how instrumental Bernie was to the survival and growth of F1. Yes, he's past his prime but give the guy credit.
01/19/2017 at 15:12
Must admit that it's time for a younger approach. Bernie has had his day let's get some fresh air in the mix. And by the way best wishes for a speedy recovery to Sir Stirling Moss.

When you've got Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel & Kimi as world champions on the track, Magnusssen isn't going to do too well. Plus with Danny & Mad Max in the mix... I'd guess Magnussen will be even further behind.

Somehow, other teams don't have those issues. Maybe Haas should ask another team which brakes they use. I'm sure Ferrari could share the info.
But all sarcasm apart, why do they have such issues?
01/19/2017 at 03:27
Considering they've tried both and still have the problem, maybe it's more a proportioning valve issues. Or a Master Cylinder manufacturer. I wonder if Haas does their own?

Please do. 3 if you must. Get some binders, and go race.
