The work of South African photographer Pieter Hugo (Foam Talent 2008) is currently on show at Cokkie Snoei in Rotterdam. The exhibition 1994 uncovers comprises portraits of children born after 1994 in South Africa and Rwanda and raises questions around history and post-conflict narratives as well as the portrayal of children in fractured and transitional times.

Start with a strong picture, it should immediately attract the attention of the viewer. Think carefully about the order.
A strong portfolio is one that moves you. It can make you angry, happy or push you to think.
