Avoiding Antibiotics in Meat? Only Three Fast-Food Chains Make the Grade

Simply not true. Meat containing antibiotics is illegal. All farm animals that become ill and put on antibiotics are quarantined from the rest of the other animals and are not allowed back until they have a clean bill of health and all trace of antibiotics is gone before they can be sold for slaughter.
For anyone still believing there there are no antibiotics residuals in meat, please share with me what it's like living under a rock. I've always been curious ;-)

According to this it highlights (in my eyes) the point that the best "fast food" isn't that "fast" are places where u go in and SEE the food not order thru a box and get handed a bag of mystery meat. That's what I feel is the real issue...

I bought nutritional yeast a while ago to try on different things but find its taste (and smell) too strong for anything but sauces and soups...I'm not vegan so I'll stick to regular Parmesan cheese..but maybe I'll try this recipe once

There are several outstanding plant-based parm cheeses out there! And no, you can't tell the difference. I use a ton of it on my pasta dishes and it adds a wonderful but cruelty-free layer!

I'm not sure why you pretend to promote sustainable and ethical living when you post things like this. Have you ever even seen Food Inc?! The movie speaks out against factory farming and the dairy industry that you seem to support here. Unfollowing.
01/14/2017 at 13:45
Thought I was lactose intolerant, but I can consume small amounts of organic dairy or raw milk without incident. Maybe it's not the milk, but how we raise the cow.

Or just drink something else instead? I'm so confused. I thought this film / page was supposed to promote alternatives to animal exploitative / planet destroying consumerism?

Parents feed too much sugar, salt and processed foods too young is the problem. France is the "control" in the experiment and their kids eat a super healthy diet, because parents are educated and believe it is important to feed their kids a healthy diet when they are young, not just salty, sugary processed foods. France also has A LOT fewer problems with ADHD and obesity in kids.
01/14/2017 at 00:21
P.S. School food tastes like cardboard. Also, everything is canned or frozen and most foods served are processed foods. It's not that they are trying to be healthy. They are just controlling calories.
01/14/2017 at 17:08
They may "meet nutritional standards" but school lunches in our town are not healthy or appealing. Processed foods and many times they don't even look appealing. For breakfast our kids get the choice of a highly processed, previously frozen main dish, cereal, or a healthy cookie breakfast bar. The fruit is always canned and chocolate milk is the main option. My children have not eaten school lunches for years!

Will People Lose Weight if Labels Show How Long It Takes to Burn Off Calories?
268 likes - 62 comments
01/12/2017 at 17:19
Honestly, I think the answer is no. Anyone who takes the time to read labels already knows the basics, which makes this rather redundant, imo. I guess it's worth a shot, but the truth is, we're eating too much of the wrong things, and we've become far too sedentary.
01/13/2017 at 00:16
Or let's just forget about tracking calories and focus on reading our bodies. Forget about weight and focus on health. Eat wholesome ingredients that make you feel good--don't place food in good or bad categories based off of anything, let alone calories. This is why diet culture is perpetuating eating disorders among all ages.
01/12/2017 at 19:00
No because the people who don't read labels don't care about what's in their food or what happens to them after they consume the food. They just care about taste and how it makes them feel mentally. If you eat with your emotions there are serious negative long term effects.

In terms of health, especially of the digestive tract, I can agree. However, from a scientific perspective, if they are claiming that "gut bacteria " causes your weight loss efforts to fail is completely incorrect, and makes this article sound very pandering. Weight loss is often more complex than calories in calories out, yet that basic law is still at the core of "dieting". Gut bacteria will not determine your success or failure, and allowing yourself to think that excuses personal failure.

I made homemade chocolate last year in Hawai'i. Found the pods at a market in Hilo, fermented the beans for 2 weeks, dried them in the sun for 3 weeks, roasted them, de-shelled them, crushed them in a mortar and pestle, mixed the powder with vanilla, sugar and heavy cream and made my own chocolate bars. Now that's real chocolate.

Here's what you do, you buy a living cow and every time you need meat you just chop a part of it without killing it, the next thing you know you have fresh meat and saved on electricity bill :')
01/11/2017 at 00:05
"The reason a double freeze takes such a toll on meat is because freezing water inside the meat’s protein cell physically changes the shape of it. So the more you do that, the more noticeable the change. And no amount of gravy on top is going to hide that."
01/10/2017 at 22:42
One time I didn't eat meat and only ate salads n stuff. Next thing you know I started gaining a 2nd belly button. I got scared, so I started eating meat again.

The Super Simple Reason Brown Rice Is Healthier Than White Rice

I actually prefer brown rice but it has significantly more arsenic than white, and is harder to digest, so we made the switch a few years ago and haven't looked back. We try not to each much rice anyway as there are far healthier and tastier grains! For more about arsenic in rice:

I eat rice maybe twice a month. Do you really think it is going to make much of a difference for me if I switch to brown? I don't think so. #IWilStickWithWhite
01/11/2017 at 16:31
Wrong. Do some research.
Your body most likely cannot digest brown rice.
Also white rice has less arsenic than brown rice.
But thanks for confusing people without doing any research.
