Year 1969 and humans have barely figured out wireless communication; yet could send and receive information to the moon and back. Fast forward almost 50 years and we still can't get a basic cell phone signal to every square inch of our own country.

His top legal advisor has quit. Also Bloomberg is reporting that Mueller has gone back to 2008 in his investigation, and there could be a criminal piece to this investigation...

Republicans can't seem to unite and that is sad because they could do a lot of good for themselves and the country. Democrats are clueless and do nothing but obstruct, they put more effort trying to make the other party look bad than they ever have for the good of the country.

Just watched this again the other day. The best part is is that this scene was totally improvised. He was just supposed to walk out the door, but when Jim Carrey noticed the sign that was an actual part of the restaurant that they were filming in, he acted out this scene and they kept it in the film. Why can't we have 2 health care bills, and let the people choose what one they want? If you pic the current bill(Obamacare) your taxes that are need to support the bill goes to that bill to support it. And the same would go for the new bill. If the bill can no longer be supported by the pool of people using said insurance, that bill gets appealed. And make it so that the bill that fails can not be bailed out. And whatever bill is left standing is what we get. This way the bill we are left with is truly picked by the people and not the government.

This makes way too much sense to be passed. But at least we can make our wishes known and hope.
I’m with Trump on this one.
President Trump is asking everyone to forward this email to a minimum of 20 people, and to ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in the United States will have the message.
This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.
The TRUMP Rule
Congressional Reform Act of 2017
1. No Tenure
/ No Pension. A Congressman / woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.
(past, present, & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective ??/??/17.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.
Congress made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work.

Two things: (1) back then they were using their vote to get re-elected; and (2) they knew the bill would get vetoed by Obama so nothing would happen. The real answer is, though, these three are total opportunistic hypocrites with no spines.
07/19/2017 at 21:00
It's simple. Now the president won't veto it. Before it was all for show, they KNEW Obama wouldn't sign it.
07/19/2017 at 21:12
This is the Republican Platform 2016:
We agree with the four dissenting judges of the
Supreme Court: “In our view, the entire Act before
us is invalid in its entirety.” It must be removed
and replaced with an approach based on genuine
competition, patient choice, excellent care, wellness,
and timely access to treatment. To that end, a
Republican president, on the first day in office,
will use legitimate waiver authority under the law
to halt its advance and then, with the unanimous
support of Congressional Republicans, will sign its
repeal. The Supreme Court upheld Obamacare
based on Congress’ power to tax. It is time to repeal
Obamacare and give America a much-needed tax
In its place we must combine what worked
best in the past with changes needed for the future.
We must recover the traditional patient-physician
relationship based on mutual trust, informed
consent, and confidentiality. To simplify the system
for both patients and providers, we will reduce
mandates and enable insurers and providers of
care to increase healthcare options and contain
costs. Our goal is to ensure that all Americans
have improved access to affordable, high-quality
healthcare, including those struggling with mental
We will return to the states their historic role
of regulating local insurance markets, limit federal
requirements on both private insurance and
Medicaid, and call on state officials to reconsider the
costly medical mandates, imposed under their own
laws, that price millions of low-income families out
of the insurance market. To guarantee first-rate care
for the needy, we propose to block grant Medicaid
and other payments and to assist all patients,
including those with pre-existing conditions, to
obtain coverage in a robust consumer market.
Through Obamacare, the current Administration has
promoted the notion of abortion as healthcare. We,
however, affirm the dignity of women by protecting
the sanctity of human life. Numerous studies have
shown that abortion endangers the health and wellbeing
of women, and we stand firmly against it.
To ensure vigorous competition in healthcare,
and because cost-awareness is the best guard
against over-utilization, we will promote price
transparency so consumers can know the cost
of treatments before they agree to them. We will
empower individuals and small businesses to form
purchasing pools in order to expand coverage to
the uninsured. We believe that individuals with
preexisting conditions who maintain continuous
coverage should be protected from discrimination.
We applaud the advance of technology in electronic
medical records while affirming patient privacy and
ownership of personal health information.
Consumer choice is the most powerful factor in

Trump don't have no plan , the Republicans pissed and moaned about Obama care every since it started but they don't have no plan either. Just as dam crooked as the rest of the politicians the best was to come up with a plan is to put all of government politicians on the same plan as we are on then you watch how fast they get to work.

Trump is leading, not following..He's not a professional politician and will go back to being a businessman when his (Terms) are up..He beat out 16 establishment candidates and one cheeky Democrat..The people who put him in office will continue to support him as he keeps his promises..He has nothing to lose..He doesn't need the job..I would trust somone like that before a profesional politician that hadn't kept a single promise..Like those men and women in Congress who are weak kneed professional politician who cant keep their word to the people who gave them the majority in the House, Senate along with Presidency..Betrayal will not be forgiven and will be reminded from now until their next term..They will find people won't be forgiving.
07/19/2017 at 20:36
Well the first mistake is believing that there is any sense of honor within the Congress. Either side of the house, and both parties are probably the highest paid gathering of liars, manipulators, and just down right dishonorable people your ever going to run into. As a whole each and everyone will lie to your face and tell you whatever it is you want to hear to get reelected Time to pull the handle down and flush each and every one of them out of Washington D.C. and replace them with people who keep their promises.

How many years have the Republicans in the senate had to have a plan ready to replace and repeal the ACA? How many Americans will have their health put in jeopardy because there will be no healthcare plans in their state next year. How many people have healthcare plans with premiums and so deductibles so high they can not afford to get sick? I consider myself lucky since my employer provides me with affordable health insurance for my family. Although my deductible is higher than I would like I am better off than millions of other Americans. The Republicans in the Senate need to get their act together. The Democrats need to stop acting juvenile and stop thinking of American families that rely upon and deserve affordable healthcare insurance. They need to stop acting along party lines and Senator and everyone in Congress needs to do what is best for our country.

I am on managed Medicare with humana and my out of pocket have risen from 1900 dollars to not 10,000 Who the hell can even use their insurance with these kinds of costs... I worked all my life paying Income taxes and I see immigrants coming in and getting all their medical for nothing and subsidized to a point where I would drool at to be.. I just going to let nature take over and now stopped all my meds even though I have progressive lung and heart disease from the chemicals I worked with in Industry as an engineer....

Healthcare isn't as much of a problem as health insurance. Get rid of it all. The moment you have another party between you and care there's going to be an issue. Proper nutrition and exercise would help cut our costs in half.

Perhaps if the Repubs had done something the past 7+ years and were prepared to offer a plan that would not hurt their employers (that's us, not big business and the lobbyists), the wailing and gnashing of teeth wouldn't be necessary. When they take their hands out of their pockets, and do the real work necessary to craft good legislation, we'll talk.

This is my regular reminder people, learn to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, the governmental system we have created is NOT sustainable. It is a real shame, the Republicans control the house, senate and white house and can't get rid of the disaster that is Obamacare. A couple points. One it shows how hard it is to stop giving people free stuff, no matter how bad the legislation may be, when you get people dependent on government. And it reinforces the point I heard many years ago. There are two parties in this nation. The dangerous party (democrats) who push agendas that create bigger government, more waste, and more dependency. And the stupid party (Republicans) who can't get their act together and fix things. I give credit to the Dems, when they want to shove something down our throats they do it very effectively, they stick together, change the rules, and have a great messaging system. They just say "the other guy wants to hurt you, and is a racist, sexist, bigoted, person" They took control of Hollywood, the news media and the education system from K-college. Well played for them, not so much for our nation.

07/17/2017 at 20:33
The GOP and the Dem's have become one. The promise we were given for 7 years was to give them control and they would appeal Obamacare. Now, they have control and they've turned into liberal, big government left wing (Republicans?). We don't want any more government, in our health care, in our taxes, in our regulations, in our lives. Get out, go away. Go back on a shut down. You do us more good when you're not there.
