We need your support at FGR for a big game in our push for promotion, so back the lads all the way and make some...

Thank you to the 144 Forest Green supporters who made the journey to Gateshead today to cheer on the team. Fantastic support. We go again next Saturday when we host Woking.
A disappointing first league defeat of 2017 saw us go down 3-1 at Gateshead today. Despite Kaiyne Woolery's first goal since joining on loan from Wigan Athletic, and the fact we hit the post three times, it wasn't enough against a Gateshead side who claimed all three points.

A much better second half at Gateshead but still not enough as Danny Johnson's two first half goals for the Heed proved difficult to fight back against. We hit the post three times during the 90 minutes but had only Kaiyne Woolery's first goal for the club to show for our efforts. Johnson's brace was added to by Wes York who was a live-wire for the hosts throughout the afternoon.
Two strikes from Danny Johnson are the difference at Gateshead at half time where the Heed Army lead 2-0. We have hit the post twice - through Jake Gosling and Christian Doidge - however there's a two goal advantage in the hosts favour at the interval.
The team news is in at Gateshead. This is our line-up in the north east this afternoon.
We hit the motorways for our longest trip of the season on Saturday when we travel to the north east to take on Gateshead. Kick-off against the Heed is at 3pm as two in form sides come head-to-head looking to snap up all three points. We earned three points against Gateshead back in August at The New Lawn, so the aim is to achieve the same feat again, for what will be a tough test for Mark...

FGR ended up on the wrong side of a seven goal thriller at Torquay United's Plainmoor on Boxing Day. Having gone 3-0 down, a stunning speedy comeback in the second half saw Mark Cooper's charges level things back at 3-3. However the Gulls struck again to claim the three points in our final game of 2016. Shane Healey was there to catch the game on camera.
Watch our highlights package from our 2-0 win over Boreham Wood at The New Lawn on Saturday. Goals from Christian Doidge and new signing Omar Bugiel earned us three points as we reached the 60 point mark for the season.

Two late goals helped us to all three points today over Boreham Wood at The New Lawn. Debutant Omar Bugiel came on as a substitute to set up Christian Doidge's opener and then scored himself to confirm victory. It's now six league games unbeaten in 2017 for Mark Cooper's men who have now reached the 60 point milestone.

Goals from Christian Doidge and Omar Bugiel on his FGR debut helped us claim all three points against Boreham Wood at The New Lawn. We had to be patient to break down a Boreham Wood side looking to defend, but that patience was rewarded when in the last ten minutes Doidge and Bugiel popped up to hand us a win and a clean sheet.
