SVG deliberately slowed his car up mid corner, just enough to give his team mate an advantage... It's called "Race Craft"..
People tend to forget SVG has raced all over the world in all different categories.. He is also a champion in those categories. The bloke has talent.. Bucket loads of it.
That was a smart "Strategic" positioning of his car...
No doubt the one eyed nae-sayers will disagree though. ;-)

Great Team work. Don't see how Fabs can claim Whincup nailed him when he already had his own front end pushed into the rear quarter of SVG.
Not sure "blocking is aloud" but to say shake and bake while your blocking and allowing team mate advantage is just being smug. Fans of triple 8 rejoice

It's been a rough old start to 2017 for Tekno Autosports.
But a solid run at Winton has given the team a timely boost, writes Will Davison.

It would be an unprecedented move for Mobil 1 HSV Racing.
But it's leaving no stone unturned as it looks to solve long-standing issues with the team's cars.

given the hatred between T8 and HSV, it won't be Roland's lads helping out, don't think they could go past GRM, Garry & Barry have the runs on the board, and have been working there way forward at every round so far this year.
05/24/2017 at 04:13
He'll have to do something,.. his engines he speaks of so highly are only around for 6 more months. Then GM racing own the in coming ones according to the new Holden Gen2 program, getting it to bounce better would be fairly well essential.
05/24/2017 at 05:29
Is everyone forgetting that T8 will be the sole supplier of all things Holden come years end? Unless Walkinshaw, BJR, and GRM get new manufacturers, they will all be knocking on uncle Roland's door.

In Nicky Hayden, we've not just lost a MotoGP legend.
We've lost one of the nicest and warmest humans ever to stroll into a racing paddock.

Riding a bike was pure joy for Nicky Hayden.
We shared that joy by watching his brilliance unfold on two wheels at 300km/h. Gone too soon, but forever loved.

Before I found out that Nikki had been injured in the bicycle crash I was watching an interview with him talking about racing the Isle of Man TT this year. I was really looking forward to seeing how he would do I just can't believe is this happened

Gone way too soon. Has crashed at 300 kmh and nothing more than scratched leathers. Gets killed riding a push bike. Just doesnt compute in my world. Lets hope the poor Iunfortunate person that hit him gets a fair deal.

To a true gentleman on and off track, who could forget the race at Luguna Seca after winning he stopped and put his father Earl on the back of the Honda so he too could also celebrate the victory lap with him and often spoke about home and friends with that southern draw of 'ar man' and in an era where most riders have the personality of a wet fish (VR46 excluded) how refreshing was it to see Nicky doing Boot Scooting on the rostrum. Going to miss you and your mannerism RIP NH69 ride on Nicky Hayden

69 - so when you're upside down in a gravel trap, they know that you're number is 69. Will always remember that quote. Rest in peace champ.

Nothing has caused me so much sadness since Ayrton Senna's death in 1994. Man, Nicky was the most caring, generous and loving family man on two wheels. Both fun and funny. R.I.P champion. You'll never ride alone.
05/22/2017 at 21:04
Shows us all how fragile we are, just a guy going for a cycle on a normal spring day, gets hit by a car and 5 days later he is gone. RIP

Rest In Peace, another champion Nicky Hayden.

How did Jack Miller:
a) survive this terrifying crash on Saturday
b) get back on the bike
c) finish 8th on Sunday

If he was a soccer player he would of been sidelined for the next 57 years
05/22/2017 at 07:38
a) Because his part of the crash was much nicer than the bike's part. Mostly a tumble, then roll. Pretty nasty but bikers know how to roll
b) Because he's a motorbike racer
c) Because he's good
05/23/2017 at 07:24
Because of the fridge!
1 It slowed him down at the end and stopped him hitting the wall.
2 He had a couple of tooheys from the fridge so he couldn't feel a thing.
3 He's a bloody Aussie, tough as nails....

Been always a Courtney fan but this team is cactus esp with Scott pye ,why did they hire him, next will be Robbie star then it's fucked, would be great to see him join Grech and get the band back together with holdsworth
05/22/2017 at 04:47
As far as I'm concerned this team is dead and buried... They will never get back to the top like they used to... I loved this team, but there results have been so dissapointing over the past 6 or 7 years... GT was a blessing they should have kept him... Pye was a waste of $$$... they will regroup and then regroup after more poor results...
05/22/2017 at 00:44
Finished. They'll be a back marker team from here on in, basically making up numbers. Tander was smart to foresee this.

That just proves rullo is not ready for the main game. It doesn't matter if you are one lap down all cars should go through the lane so you can let the car on the lead lap race
05/21/2017 at 08:30
Frosty should have had the awareness like Garth did to hold behind him until after the apex, and then let him move over like he had been for the rest of the train.
He can't just disappear, and it could have been any one of the back runners he keeps pace with, including his team mate Bright.
