It's amazing the weakness Arjen Robben not only exposed in the Mexican team but also with its fan base, still crying over it. Great move to fire Blind.

Although Marquez is somewhat of a loss, I don't think Damm is much of a loss. Kid can't decide when to make crosses or when to shoot

We have Vela, Chicha, Perlata, orbelin, Moreno, Salcedo. I wouldn't take t&t lightly since we drew them 4-4 and 3-3 in our last encounters , I say Mex should go out with a 5-3-2

This all on the MLS for wanting their Buy-in fees to keep growing the league and not caring about the quality of teams or players. This is another reason for promotion and relegation.
03/26/2017 at 15:44
This has more to do with strategic positioning of the league and heading off an NASL merger at the pass than it had to do with expansion fees. The amount of talent available has nothing to do with this, as the example of Atlanta illustrates. No, this has to do with a lack of direction from their front office. MNU simply hasn't figured out what sort of club they want to be on the pitch or how to get there.
03/26/2017 at 15:40
I can't for the life of me divine what their team-building concept might have been. None of their draft/expansion/signings, including managerial hire, have made a lick of sense.

I think FIFA must introduce this law of suspending the player who broke onother player's leg until he recover..if the victim doesn't recover then it means that culprit must be banned for life
03/25/2017 at 22:43
There's no room for tackles like that in the game. Everybody knows there's a high level of intensity in professional football, but as a professional footballer you also have to know how to control that intensity to not put in dangerous tackles like this. Appalling.
03/25/2017 at 21:40
Bale wasn't really concerned about Coleman even thought he must have know that his mate had Brocken his leg , disgraceful , one of our the best players on the world should have had more concern for a fellow professional

? I think that news organizations and fans of American soccer need to show Klinsmann some respect. I don't get it. He's a great coach, like Arena is. Things fall apart relationships fall apart, but there's no need to jump off the deep end. Look where he took America in the World Cup and in the Copa America. If Arena takes them to Copa America semi final, maybe then start talking like this-but with respect. Not when he beats Honduras...?
03/25/2017 at 13:39
They need to face a formidable opponent to determine that no offense to the Honduran team but if they beat a Costa Rica or a Mexico or even a South American team then it proves that otherwise one match doesn't say anything
03/25/2017 at 14:04
Common guys don't you think it's too early to start showering praise on Arena, and blaming Klinsmann. He just started, and besides, let him face the big boys and we will know if his squad and tactics are good. Just saying

One of the reporters during the game said it was dehydration for John Brooks. If that's the case he will probably struggle in Panama. Might start Zimmerman instead. He's been stellar for FCD and is use to playing in the Texas Heat.

Mexico played well even without the wingers. I say we would have had another goal or 2 if it was Tecatito or Hirving running the offense instead of Jurgen. He's talented enough he just clearly lacks confidence. He always looks nervous. Edit: fox STILL calling chicharito a poacher 😂😂 he was dribbling and passing all game and his goal was pure striker instinct and world class finishing
03/25/2017 at 05:33
Navas was great. There's only so much you can do when your whole team is getting thrashed. Without Navas the score line would be much worse

Donavan's terrible commentating; I almost most fell out of my chair when he called Bradley a World Class talent. I mean, really? He sucked Bruce and Bradley all game.
Bradley still is one of the weakest links on this team. Get rid of him already.
03/25/2017 at 07:30
Once again, the love affair with Altidore is unfathomable. Granted, I've only seen the first half so far, but this guy is just plain ol' overrated.
His hold-up play is marginal at best, his work rate is mediocre on offense and close to non-existent on defense. Trapping and passing is still average. Six goals and our goal scorer gets none of them. All this against a sub-par Honduran squad.
03/25/2017 at 16:26
Pulisic is the future for USMNT...get our guys overseas ASAP to play, learn, play with best and return...Jesus, Bradley is absolutely horrible...heck, I don't know, make him an assistant coach or player ambassador...just not running and setting up offense for this team, he's holding them back

Good win, but let's not get carried away here. A loss to Panamá on Tuesday and we'll be back to panic mode again. With Brooks, Cameron, and Lletget possibly not playing, we need another big performance. The job is nowhere near done.
