David Friedman, Donald Trump’s controversial choice to be ambassador to Israel, has been confirmed.

Friedman, who has no diplomatic experience, previously called for the US embassy to be moved to Jerusalem.

Palestinians have defied an Israeli bill which seeks to impose limits on the Muslim call to prayer in Israel and in occupied East Jerusalem, by constructing the tallest minaret in the occupied territory.

“Minarets won’t be silenced and the athan (Muslim call to prayer) will continue to ring out in Palestinian villages and cities,” said Abu al-Hummus.

Israel passes law to ban boycotters via Al Jazeera English
West Jerusalem - Israel's parliament has passed a law allowing the government to bar entry to people who have called for an economic or cultural boycott of the country.
'The first state visit by a British Royal to Israel will go ahead this year, Whitehall sources have suggested.

The proposed visit would coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.'
