Bore war manorial this morning at 6:00am just 30 seconds down the road from your expensive new stadium. The poor rotary club doing their best . No Football club players in sight. Really pathetic Geelong Football . Remember who served

We must not forget the horrors of war, just imagine your 19 year old self (or younger) been thrown into complete chaos, seeing somethings which will never leave you and somehow surviving to get home, more likely dying on the battlefield alone, frightened and scared.
Yes we fought in the wars and those will be remembered for their courage and sacrifice but we must remember war is a terrible thing and should be avoided at all costs.

Play football, not war. But always remember why can play football.

When Joel was named as captain I questioned it as he was so so young - but I quickly realised what an amazing young man he was, and is - thank you our amazing captain for all you have done for our team and our club! With all the scars you bear, you play your heart out every week. what can we say but thank you and how proud we are of you!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that it was also the 200th game that Harry Taylor and Joel Selwood played together. Anyone able to confirm?

Still can't believe that last one wasn't a free. Poor Guthrie has been on the end of a few of those and gets pinged every time but when he's the tackler, gets nothing.

Very exciting knowing with depth we've created, we still don't know what our best side is, and won't know until probably just before finals.

I think the Caddy trade has been a win for Geelong and Richmond. That pick used to get Parfitt has been brilliant so far. He doesn't seem to rush when he has the ball, has composure and poise... Also it's good that we've persisted with guys like Murdoch, Horlin-Smith and of course Menzel, Menz is starting to get that power and confidence back into his game with that X-Factor and marking ability... shades of 2011.

Im with the Coach and the Captain . We"ere a very good DEVELOPING team a little lucky but hey fortune favours the Brave ! ..and there is no ceiling on what we can acheive further this yr ! ( Were equal 1st !)

Zack Tuohy is a rock in our defence . His chase downs haven't gone un noticed . Keep up the good work . Joel Selwood the ultimate warrior . The team follows him to battle every week with a strong belief of winning every game .

Can't understand why some people think Harry has been a master stroke playing forward Cats could be 2 wins. Harry going back after half time has been a major reason Geelong are 5 zip , 11 and 8 goal last quarters last two games.
When are we going to learn how to play 4 quarters of football rather than having to come out and play like we did on the weekend just gone --- the Saints played 3 quarters of good football but we went out, in the 4th, wanting it more !!!1

I remember watching Aaron in the WAFL and thinking this guy is going to be a really good player one day and I hope I'm right. If anyone can help Aaron become the player he should become it's Geelong and the Geelong culture. Good luck mate from all us fans.

Well done Aaron him for the first time when him and Jed guys visited us patients in hospital last week. Great guys you made my day. Go cats.

"He understands that Scott Selwood, Sam Menegola and James Parsons are all midfielders with claims on a spot in the Cats' best team."
No offence to these three, But I rate GHS before all three. He's been unlucky as heel to not be picked for some time. He is in their best 22.
This is what happens when you get rid of a couple of old players and give the kids a chance before it's too late, now it's Bews turn and reckon he could be good on the CHB line given the chance. This reads better now, thanks.

Thought his game was terrific against Saints,Guthrie very good second game in. Murdoch not in Cats best 22.Harry c h back every week,Cats look so much better when he is there ,facts are there if you research first 5games.Could Menagola play half back next year when Mackie retires

This bloke has been a champion from his first year at the club. Today he lead the team from the front, his second half was outstanding. Well done cap, another good win.
04/23/2017 at 12:00
Saw this live and effort after effort this man dished up today was simply outstanding. This bloke is as tough as they come, gets hit off the ball all day, bounces back up, gets tackled by 2-3 blokes and still gets the ball clear, absolute superstar from his first game until now, makes you proud to call yourself a supporter, and to all the saints supporters who boo'd him all day, thanks for firing him up and keeping him going you jokers
04/23/2017 at 13:49
Was so honoured today to have meet Joel Selwood. We were in the rooms before the game today and my little boy who has cerebral palsy was supposed to run through the Geelong banner in his walker was told he might not be able to. The almighty Joel Selwood come up to him as his, Edwards favourite people and asked him how you doing little champ. Edward was star struck and couldn't say a world but Joel made his day. Champ on the field and off.

Geelong are the last quarter specialists this year.
Selwood BOG and Duncan had a great game also impressed with the big boy Tuohy, so reliable.
On a side note, the umpiring almost ruined a great game.
04/23/2017 at 08:33
Everyone whinging how we don't play all 4 quarters. Don't know many teams that do. Always ebbs and flows in a game. What matters is who is in front at the final siren.
04/23/2017 at 08:51
Great game cats. I'm sick of all the baggers. They were good today. Whoever says Mackie should be dropped wasn't watching the same game. Cockatoos goals were great he isn't to slow. He's great. Duncan and Murdock did well. Top of the ladder what more could we ask for.
04/23/2017 at 07:22.
There's nothing in this. And our skipper is giving his all. 16 disposals and a goal to Selwood in Q3. #AFLSaintsCats

We'll be ok. Need to sheppard the receiver after handballing lads.
Danger and Sellwood to come good this quarter and with Lang playing a blinder and if Menzel kicks straight... all over by 25 points
Sam Dangerfield Morgan
04/23/2017 at 07:23
Terrible skills. Can't get a handball to a bloke 3 metres away and we put it over their head. Clean it up and the game is ours.
04/23/2017 at 13:13
Great game, Selwood, what a Champion, everyone only wish they had him as a leadership player GoCats for rest of year Kempy

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous games I've seen. The umpiring is so bad. I mean, the Saints gave a 50 for "POSSIBLY swearing"? Wtf?
04/23/2017 at 06:52
Is it possible, and I know this is a radicle thing to say, but if we decided to kick the ball rather than handballing it every time we might actually play better??
04/23/2017 at 06:36
Was always going to be a tough one against the Saints - their speed make Geelong turn the ball over and we're getting punished every time. Will take hard contested football to win this game.
04/23/2017 at 06:09.
An after the siren goal to Menzel has us ahead by 12 points. Good game of footy. #AFLSaintsCats

Great kicking lads but we are too tall and slow in the forward line and still lack a fast running small forward like Eddie Betts to smash the scrums and sneak the goals..
Keep at 'em boys. They will continue to come but keep consistent and blow them away with your fitness in the last.
04/23/2017 at 06:26
I hope someone goes out at half time and coaches the umps on the rules of the game.
04/23/2017 at 06:23
Such a tight game. Saints are playing well, cats need to utilise opportunities!!
