We’re sending a warm congratulations to our friends at SANCCOB saves seabirds in South Africa as they welcomed their first African penguin hatchling of 2017! This chick was the first African penguin egg admitted out of 54 so far and is nearly a day old. It will be hand-raised by SANCCOB staff, and then be rehabilitated for future release.
