Sugar, sugar, sugar! New Zealanders are eating a kilo each a week - more than double the recommended amount.

We agree with these experts that a range of measures are needed to reduce our intake including schools going water only, better food labelling, and a stronger focus on more whole and less processed foods.

This radical and wide-reaching programme has resulted in a 12% drop off in the number of overweight and obese children from 2012 -2015.
