In the early 1940s, there were approximately 30,000 Japanese residents in the area around Little Tokyo. 75 years ago, they were given five days to collect their belongings and tie up loose ends before loading their families into buses in front of the Union Church. This is a very real piece of our city's history that we must never forget.
