the Gruffalo Spotters trail and The Gruffalo Spotter app will launch from today February 20th 2017. The app is free from the App Store, Google Play and Amazon so you can download it before your visit.

Volunteering opportunities are available with the Kielder Osprey Watch which is now in its eighth year.

Breeding pairs of ospreys have arrived in Kielder between March and September for the last 8 years, and activity on the nest tends to be mainly throughout July and August as the chicks hatch, are fed, learn to fly and hunt.

The Kielder Chiller 24 hour endurance event is now underway! Over 150 people, 70 riding as individuals and the rest in teams, set off from the Kielder Castle car park at noon to ride as many laps as possible in 24 hours.
The event is due to finish at 12.00 on Sunday, so come along to Kielder to cheer some exhausted and very muddy riders over the finish line!
