The Animal Friends of the Valley shelter in Wildomar, California never really knows what is going to happen during their overnight hours. It’s not at all uncommon for someone to just abandon a dog or two at the shelter during the night hours, and on the night of February 13th, someone dropped off two dogs there, and one had mange so bad she had gone pink.
If a picture speaks a thousand words, then the photos taken by professional photographer Richard Phibbs to help get some adoptions for some shelter dogs just about say it all! The photographer donated his services to do a photo shoot for some shelter dogs, all with the hopes of getting good forever home for each one.
Three weeks ago, we told you about Liz, a small dog so skeletal that she couldn’t even support herself anymore. Since being taken in by Trio Animal Foundation, she has gained weight and isn’t just able to stand now, but play and have fun with other littles who started out life a lot like she did.
It may have taken awhile, but Gabe here is finally ready to go to a good home with a loving forever family. They know that he’s a great dog, and just needs a chance to show you how sweet a dog can actually be.

Banana is what you might call a “high-energy” dog. The people at the shelter say that Banana loves to play so much, that whenever they bring him out to play, he just NEVER STOPS MOVING! He runs in circles, jumps up and down and is just so seemingly happy it’s so hard not to get caught up in all of that energy, yourself.
Einstein is a young boy! He’s only seven months old, and already the poor guy is looking for a forever family. We’re proud to present him as our Life With Dogs Adoptable Dog of the Day, and he comes to us courtesy of the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
