Here's the re-do - more patience and following my own advice led to a much better mani experience. You can check out the tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

This is done using @colorclubnaillacquer Halo Hues again, and this time @opi_products Alpine Snow & Top Coat.
You can't tell from this speed-tutorial how frustrating this mani was LOL. Check out the full length version to see all the bloopers, over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

I revisited this same idea with different colors and much less frustration, and that vid will be up later today!
I actually like this mani, but OMG the frustration I had doing it. So much, that I only did one hand before I gave up. But I did do a tutorial for it, and it's up now on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

Base gradient is done with a couple @colorclubnaillacquer Halo Hues shades, marble on top with @opi_products Black Onyx and Top Coat.
Don't like how your water marble came out? Cover up the bad nails and make it an accent mani =) Full version of this tutorial over on my YouTube channel of course: [ Youtu.be Link ] AND the polish testing vid for this is also up now: [ Youtu.be Link ]
My St. Patrick's Day mani - Holo Clover Accent Water Marble. You can check out the tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] ... this one was kind of a disaster and wasn't planned to be an accent, but I was disappointed enough with the marbling that I felt I needed to cover it up LOL

This is all done, the marble and the plain nails, using @colorsbyllarowe holo polishes =)
Here are a few cups from my Polish Testing vid which is up now on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ]

There's a total of 19 cups of testing in the vid, which is more than I usually do, but I didn't have much of a starting point for this mani other than wanting to play with the splash technique.
Here's the speed-tutorial for my OPI Color Paints Splash Water Marble - check out the full version over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

Just finished editing the behind the scenes polish testing for this ... it's really long LOL. 19 cups of testing, many of them fails. So stay tuned if you're looking forward to that!
Here's a look at my right hand - more consistent color than the left hand although not as dramatic swirling; this index finger is the nail I had to do a big fix on in the tutorial - check out the polish surgery over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)
More "splash" water marbling, this time with @opi_products Color Paints polishes. Check out the tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

I like the finished mani even with the variation in color - which I managed to mostly overcome on my other hand - but definitely still room for improvement. I recorded all my testing beforehand also, so there will be a behind the scenes...

I'm going to play with this technique some more tonight, I can't wait!
I wanted to show my right hand because it turned out so different than my left - also I think this thumb is my favorite overall =) Tutorial for this Color Splash Water Marble is of course over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ]
Really loving how this Color Splash Water Marble came out! Check out the tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =) I used @opi_products Black Onyx and the 3 Alice in Wonderland colors that I've marbled with before. If you'd like a peek at what this looked like in the cup, check out my last post.

In the vid I included footage of all 6 cups that I dipped in, because the...

Here's the quickie for my Holo Powder over Duochrome - head over to my YouTube channel for the full tutorial: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

Also, I should have the polish in motion for this posted later today, although even that doesn't do the base color or the powder justice. It was just so much better in person! (WAS, because my nails are naked right now, getting ready to do my first water...

Pictures DO NOT do this justice. I tried but they just don't ... there's a polish in motion coming of this Holo Powder over Duochrome polish, but even that is a pale comparison to the real life version. You can check out the tutorial for this - along with more rambling commentary than I realized until I edited LOL - over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)
Here's the speed-tutorial for my Plum & Blue Drag Marble on my mom's short nails - head over to my YouTube channel to watch the full tutorial: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

My mom hadn't been painting her nails much but she really liked these and I enjoyed doing them, so look forward to more guest appearances from her!
Today's Plum & Blue Drag Marble is on Mom's short nails! Check out the tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

I forgot to mention in the vid but this mani was for her birthday, which was over the weekend. These are some of her favorite colors, I've done a water marble for her in very similar shades.
These Freehand Roses didn't show up very well on camera, but at least I was able to get a few laughs at my WTF moment while applying my base color - which I cut out if the quickie version, but you can see in the full length tutorial over on my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ]. =)

I'm going to revisit this with more contrasting colors ... maybe as soon as this weekend.
I meant to have these posted earlier - some freehand roses for Valentine's Day. Head over to my YouTube channel to watch the tutorial: [ Youtu.be Link ] - they're easier than you may think =) I wish they showed up better on camera, they're even prettier in person!
Here's the quickie for my Smoky Red Heart Water Marble. If you'd like to see the full tutorial - which includes doing the design a couple additional times in the cup - head over to my YouTube channel: [ Youtu.be Link ] =)

I've had many people say the smoke looks like roses ... so I think I may try to actually do roses next month during Water Marble March.
