Yeah. It's not like someone hit a wall with no safer barrier and broke their legs recently and it should have been a clue to put the safer walls everywhere on every race track.
06/27/2017 at 01:40
That'll definitely be a SAFER barrier by next season. I'm actually surprised it took this long for that to happen and be analyzed.
06/27/2017 at 01:51
Review it how? "Hmm, looks like something broke in the car and he pancaked the barrier, yup that's what happened". Seriously, what are they going to review or hope to find?

I actually thought stage racing at the road courses was gonna make this a good race. It was horrible.
06/27/2017 at 00:41
Well, I just do not care for road races and I don't really like the stage racing, it's like the time limit they dreamed up for the trucks last year. In my mind what has hurt Nascrap the most is the big money they have received from the media and they have to have so much advertisements to make ends meet and Darrel and Michel Waltrip are about the most stupid people to listen to, I usually DVR the races and fast forward thru, looking for good spots and watch no adds
06/27/2017 at 00:42
The road course of sonoma sucks. Replace it with Road America.

I guess we can now officially call the Cars 3 scheme a Lucky Scheme, because cars with that scheme have finished 1st and 2nd in the two weeks it has been used.

That guy finished second. Goes to show you should never give up.

He only caused a wreck with himself, danica Patrick and Kyle Larson. Which then put them in the back of the field and set up a wreck that ruined stenhouse's day in the process...

I looked & I didn't see the post(s) where you guys talked driver by driver about where everyone else other than Jr finished? How did Allmendinger do? You guys always seem like your bored with some of your articles. Yall spoke to Jr yesterday after the race, that was good enough I mean honestly who actually thought he had a legitimate shot at winning yesterday?
06/27/2017 at 00:29
I'll be so glad when he's retired then it can go back to just racing and the jrrrrrrrr is everything can stop finally will all know if he finished 6th that car was great a lot of other drivers would have won

I'm thinking you already have Jr.'s name on the trophy, probably going to be a sham just like it was in 2001, what a set up that was !!! hoping he gets in a wreck(not getting hurt) then that will quite the crowd LOL

everyone has at least one driver that they pull for, some of us have more than one. Should not have to trash other peoples favorites to make yours look better! regarding 'fixed races' most of us have our own theories on that topic, and i will guarantee that not one of us knows more than just speculation. hope some of you people never have to serve on a criminal jury!

Wish it was still on the 4th. Also on FOX. Much better broadcasting and fewer commercials. Maybe this weekend will be long to Chase. It would be so cool.

Get rid of stage racing. Get rid of playoff racing. If you want to see sprint racing go to a sprint car race. If you want to see playoffs go to NFL NBA etc. Award bonus points to the leader at half way and at the finish top qualifier etc. From what I've seen of stage racing it breads accidents and penalties. There is a lot of ways for Nascar to deal with this and I hope they do.
I love the playoffs and the stages. To win NOW you actually have to race the ENTIRE race. Nothing is more boring than watching a race with 15 cars on the lead lap and knowing who the winner will be at the halfway point.
06/27/2017 at 00:45
NASCAR is going down the toilet....regulate it to death....change the rules every time you turn around, and they need a better system then they created with the stage racing....and they wonder why the tracks are empty

If Hendrick Motorsports can't find a new driver for the 88 I could see them giving him an offer
yesterday at 18:19
I'm sure teams would be willing to literally throw money at this guy to get him back into one of their cars. Even said it himself, he lives for moments like he had in Homestead with 30 to go...he still has a fire inside him.

I can't help but feel bad for Truex. One of the best cars out there all day, and ends up blowing his engine and finishing in 37th. Great win by Harvick though! It's about time he gets his first win of the year.
Worst road course race in years 9+ seconds between 1st and 2nd boring. Congrats NASCAR on ruining one of only a few tracks on the circuit that have been reliably fun to watch. Seriously disappointed fan.

if mr harvick would have taken the dive like he was informed, I would be buying another new house today. was obvious bowyer was called to win. I guess they cutting back on the predictability a bit now.

This is why I can't stand "road course ringers." How many were involved in some sort of accident yesterday? Even Boris could have taken out Harvick. These guys are irrelevant and those teams need to just give their drivers the experience of road course racing. Glad Kasey is okay....

that was a terrible accident and don't you think for one moment that Tony does not think of that everyday/what is wrong with you people you always point out the bad and ignore all the good that Tony has done/no matter what I am a true fan of Tony and nothing will change that

What the headline is on here and what tony said are two completely different things.... Plus he hired driver who intentionally spun out to get a yellow for his team mate years ago. So what room does he have to talk about gamesmanship?

Out of the entire second half of the schedule on the NBC Universal networks, only 7 of the races will be on NBC, two next month, one in August, two in October and two in November while NBCSN airs the rest of those races, and then NASCAR wonders why their ratings are in freefall mode right now.
With ESPN out 3 years ago, I wish Fox would do the whole season! NBC was terrible with their coverage/how they planned it (example would be when to go to commercial) last year. Jeff Burton/Steve Letarte were dull with their color commentary and Rick Allen shouldn't even be doing play-by-play! WIth Allen Bestwick let go from ESPN, maybe they should bring him back and replace Allen next year. It would be a start for NBC to get back on the right page again.
What a start to the season its been.
Eleven different winners, several great races, and plenty of drivers out there who can still win. Looking forward to what the rest of the season brings.

Any slight to Bowyer is b.s.. The man was simply amazing and did everything but get out and push the 14. With all that happened to him and to still finisn where he did, 2nd, the man was flying. Great job! (y) (y)

Last year they didn't give a flyin' f if you even had them on the car, and this year the accidental absence is worthy of a crew chief suspension. NASCAR really needs to get some perspective back. And I can't stand Kyle Busch!

I think I hear that karma train coming. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

It's funny how you obsess over lug nuts, but allow cars to continue running with flapping quarter panels. I swear, getting the France family out of NASCAR is job one.

It took nearly 2 hours for this statement. ..Really? Talk about favorites! I'm relieved Kasey is ok, if this would have been Jr or...or...would it have taken this long to inform his fans?
I like Kasey and he is a good guy etc but he sure hasn't done any good in Hendrick equipment. I find it very hard to believe that with the money/effort spent at all of Hendrick's teams that Rick doesn't want and strive for all 4 teams to perform at a winning level.

Congratulations Kevin Harvick on your win . Great job SHR for 1st and 2nd place finishes. Danica did a good job even with the trouble she had to finish in the top twenty
