This work is more important than winning races. Racing has given him the opportunity to serve others. Keep us the good work, God has blessed you for a reason. Give Him the glory.

Dale is his own man and what an AWESOME, HUMBLE young man he is. Thanks for all you do and for all the memories that you are leaving millions of fans on and off the track.
04/28/2017 at 21:54
Remember this guys as in all the posts I've read since he announced his retirement. What has he done? What memories? This is what racing is about not just on the track, but off the track. I think before ppl comment they should read how ignorant the comment is and adjust it accordingly..everyone always so quick to make judgement yet I bet if they looked in the mirror they would find their problem. 😊

It is really hard to imagine that you will not be on the track after this season. But I understand you have new things to accomplish and change is hard for most people to understand. I am a big fan, but the truth is your Dad Dale Earnhardt Sr. was my favorite. Sorry but I got it together and looked at what you did and you became my inspiration to watch and love the sport once again. I wish you the best in your new endeavors be safe Mr. Class just be safe.

This is an amazing hospital, they saved my sons life and we have been driving there every year for the past 15 years just for a check up and we live 4 hours away. Great Job Dale and Amy. Thank you.
04/27/2017 at 23:33
This is the real reason to truly be a fan of a driver...not how many wins they have...not how many championships...or how much they are "living in the shadow" of a name...its the amazing things they do off of the race track and giving back to a lot of different people/groups and making a mark in their community. This is the legacy Junior will leave behind and what he will be remembered for...awesome job Dale and Amy you are two amazing individuals!

The first race I ever watched is the one when Dale Earnhardt Sr. passed. I became a Jr. fan because of that. The last race I will watch will be his last one. He's been an amazing ambassador for the sport. He will be truly missed. I pray that Jr. and Amy are able to enjoy the rest of their lives and have many years ahead with nothing but happiness. 💚
04/26/2017 at 21:53
Happy/sad day for racing. We feel his health and family are way more important than risking another concussion. He made the decision to leave and I'm happy for him. Maybe Alex Bowman or William Byron will drive the 88 in 18! Have a wonderful future, Jr we will always support whatever you choose!
04/26/2017 at 21:55
It's sad that you won't be racing anymore, but I'm happy that you will be starting a new journey in your life! May you and Amy share many, many happy times to come, may you make beautiful memories together! May God continue to bless you and keep you safe!! Always a Jr fan 💖 😔😢

it's a sad day in NASCAR to see you go but I guess it's for health reasons and to start a family I don't know if I will be able to watch or go to a race because you were my favorite driver but I will think about it .and your dad would be proud of you what you have done so it was fun while it lasted

As a fan, I am saddened by this announcement. But as a sensible person I think Jr needs to do what is best for him and Amy. I would rather see him retire this way than watch him leave the sport as his daddy did.
04/25/2017 at 19:42
From what I have seen over your racing years..you are one good man. I will miss seeing you race ..like your dad. But you are not your dad and you are great in your own right. You have earned the most popular driver because of who YOU are .Congratulations on your recent marriage to Amy and good luck, good health and happiness to you both in the future......from a fan in Ottawa..Canada.

We ain't goin no where 👍

Dale, the best to you and Amy on your retirement. I was always a #3 fan and when you came into the picture, I became a zjunior fan. Thank you for the years you have given us. You will always be #1 in my eyes. NASCAR has changed so much ov er the years, but this year with stage racing has ruined the sport as far as I am concerned. The best to you in whatever ventures you pursue.
04/25/2017 at 13:40
Get married and retires... don't blame him. Now he can go back to enjoying life and playing with all his toys. Race for fun, not for the man.
