#FlashbackFriday: To Feb. of 1915, when Navy Pier was under initial construction. In the distance, you can see one of the two iconic Head House towers nearing completion. At the time, each tower contained a 60,000 gallon gravity tank to feed the Pier’s fire sprinkler system.
Today, the tanks are gone, but the towers remain as exhibit space for Chicago Children's Museum.
