The Chelsea Physic Garden, London.

The Chelsea Physic Garden was established as the Apothecaries’ Garden in London, in 1673. This physic garden is the second oldest botanical garden in Britain, after the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, which was founded in 1621

The garden has a unique living collection of around 5000 different edible, useful, medicinal and historical plants.

Another shot of the Pigeon Tower from yesterday evening.

The Tower was built in 1910 by Lord Leverhulme as part of his extensive Rivington estate. The first two floors were home to ornamental doves and pigeons, and at the top there was a small sitting room that was used by Lady Lever as a sewing and music room.
