Free Goods Of The Week ~ Creative Market
Anybody remember Patrick Nagel? He practically invented an iconic style of poster art in the 80s — art deco meets pervy mall art. This was way before vectors and computers graphic design apps existed. Lucky for you, making minimalist portraits is now super easy. We show you how with our sister app, Autodesk Graphic: [ Link ]

Our office mates were recognized by Apple for iPad App of the Year! Their SketchBook Motion app, which makes animation easier for people who draw, is a companion app that's free for SketchBook Pro members. We couldn't be more proud: [ Link ]

SketchBook Motion: iPad App of the [Best of 2016]
We love broken up collages like this one from @cajkins. They may look like mistakes to some people, but to us they look like interesting experiments, and when they work they look very interesting. This one works for us. Nice job!
It's that time of year again... time for a cosplay explosion at NYCC. We'll be there taking photos and chewing bubble gum — and we're already all out of bubble gum. If you are one of the 170,000 people attending New York Comic Con and will be dressed to the nines, please stop by our booth Thursday-Sunday for a pose with our photographer Michael. All the details at
One last sale to tell you about. Our friends at SketchBook have a 40% Off Cyber Monday sale, which is pretty substantial. We know that some of our users like to draw. In fact, some people draw in Pixlr Editor — an app that wasn't made for drawing. If you're the doodling type, consider trying a tool made just for drawing. The folks at SketchBook also give away a free brush set every week on...

@parichehr_vlf lives in darkness in her photos. Lots of black and white images that go heavy on the black to make the light shine through — when it does. We love these moody images from what appears to us to be Iran. Thanks for tagging #pixlr and sharing them with us.
One last thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth for a photo shoot during New York Comic Con. We had fun! We always do, and it's always such a pleasure to meet people and hear about the cosplay they create by hand. If we took your photo, it will be at for you to download and enjoy — no watermarks, no catches, no funny business. All for the love of cosplay. See you next...

Congratulations to all the winners of the NYCC Eastern Championships of Cosplay. The event took place last night, but we were given access to all the contestants earlier in the day. We've got photos of the winners (and everyone else) on our blog. Special congrats to the First Place Overall Winner @luckygrim! Check out all the contestants at
We have one more hour of taking photos at NYCC for this Saturday, so hop on by if you want a photo. We'll be back tomorrow, but Saturday is always the busiest day. If you miss us today, stop by on Sunday.
We uploaded a batch of photos to for Friday, including this gem. It's probably a bit top heavy, and your neck and back will be wrecked by the end of the day, but boy does it impress. ???? We'll have another batch of photos uploaded by midnight, so if you got your photo taken today at our booth, it's on its way.
Yep. Another clown sighting. One of truly standout cosplays from yesterday was this Pennywise from Stephen King's upcoming It movie (Sept. 2017). This was amazing in its detail and craft, and our photographer went hog wild lighting her to get an appropriately spooky look. Bravo, ma'am. Best cosplay of Thursday at NYCC that we saw, hands down. ????
This cosplayer went way back for Fox McCloud of Star Fox fame, the old video game that got a refresh by being included in Super Smash Bros. Great job on this one, including the tail.
We are open for business at New York Comic Con! And by open for business we mean taking photos for free. Stop by the Pixlr/SketchBook booth if you are proud of your cosplay and want a really great record of it: [ Link ]
