Cuts are 'inevitable' to protect vulnerable, say council chiefs

Yes cut's are desperately needed, cut's in the councils wages. Let them know how we all struggle while they live the life of luxury.
Care or Not Ltd
Ensuring appropriate services for children, the elderly, vulnerable and disabled is extremely important. These continued cuts over the years are the cause of the problems now yet Government will still not ensure that enough funding is provided even with the crisis social care and the NHS is now in. Totally unacceptable

I don't agree that these council managers should be paid more than the prime
Minister. Its pure greed and a drain with a pension on top. Shouldn't be allowed.

Isn't this field across the road from Devonport Park? One of largest in Plymouth, also a 15 minute walk from Central Park and opposite Brickfields sport's complex.
You mean a bunch of old people want to block development while we are in the middle a housing crisis? Well done guys, fight the power.
The result of choosing between a green field and housing is a moral dilemma. (Would,'ve the housing been affordable ones?)

Keep your cat indoors then you moaning git.
Cats shouldn't be out roaming the streets. Not only do they devastate local wildlife, take dumps in people's gardens and often annoy neighbours. They are also targets for simpletons who like harming animals, get knocked over, attacked by larger predatory wildlife, poisoned by sickos, get locked in people's sheds/garages and get in fights with each other.

I'm with you Devon as are alot and I'm hoping your ignoring the rude comments. People may think they are being helpfull by feeding/grooming cats, but unless you know it's a stray or not looked after, your tempting it away from its family
yesterday at 19:24
Cats will stray. Your cat is straying and getting treated well by people. Putting your adorable and friendly cat on the Herald will probably not make people stay away.

So because we are all choosing low emission cars with cheaper running costs, the government are not getting enough revenue in, so what do they do, move the goal post it's not on emissions anymore don't think that's going to be the answer for the environment, people won't be buying the low emissions cars anymore, no point, watch the pollution levels go up again.

Only applies to brand new cars registered on or after the 1 April 2017.

Never heard so much codswallop, the problem with meat is the cheating abbatoirs who flought the law, you can die just as easy of eating veggie if you aren't careful. All supermarkets are at risk at any time, I would rather they recall than hide it

Nothing wrong with eating meat. Remember the dozens of Germans killed by bean sprouts.
