I'm sure those there remember this brave officer and while I believe he should have been recognized for his role in the events that day I'll just say that Hollywood never gets it right anyway.

It shouldn't matter what color the Officer is... Frankly, for most of us, Officer Dennis Simmonds was a Brother in Blue. He should be acknowledged for his bravery and his part in protecting the people of Boston.

Personally I had not ever heard of another officer killed in this incident other than the MIT. I realize it was a delayed death, but the lack of mention is due to their own liberal media. Maybe it was reported locally but nationally it was not.

Trouble with Tazers against the crazed. You better have some guys to back you up with clubs, batons and those big spray cans of Mace used for crowd control.

And look at how responsive and effective the female officer is wearing this camera. Those shrieks and cowering with your baton waiting for the male officers sure did seem effective. Luckily they were there so she did not get beaten any worse, she did not even attempt to stop the assailant...

You know, sometimes I think that these "problems" should be solved in "a proper Jarheaded manner"! Peace through overwhelming firepower! After a couple solutions like that, thugs will be a little less exited to take potshots at police. The ONLY problem with this though is collateral damage.

It'll be a rough road to recovery and a big life change if he is indeed bind but at least he survived. The officer in Tacoma 2 days prior didn't get the chance. 2 officer shootings in less than 36 hours and only a couple towns apart. It's too much we've had other officers shot and shot at since it's heartbreaking.

Well, I'd be violating that policy. Deal with the IA and take the days off. That video would save my a$$ from any BS criminal charges or lawsuits.

Yeah, because the first thing we think about when go we to arrest someone, is that we better make sure to turn the camera on. SMH.

The manager said for the PD to not send him if there's an emergency.....as if he's not working in his Walmart security guy capacity but as a police officer to not send him if he's on duty as a cop. That's just insane. "Oh hey we have an emergency here, send a cop...but not him...because he's an employee here and our policy states....."
Ummm,no. Do you want a cop or not? We're not going to have businesses dictate which officer responds.

When I worked there as my first part/full time job I was told if we're not clocked in we are considered customers. Being said it's not against policy to not carry a weapon on their property. Also he's in uniform. Maybe it's different in Virginia. Of course when I worked there I wasn't able to carry a firearm due to my age. Walmart is horrible to work for anyways. That would be my last option if I had to change careers.

So they go onto private property with zero warrant or invitation to talk to citizens. Im sure its in poorer areas where they try to gain consent for entrance and once its recieved they start peering around and asking questions to make them implicate themselves in some way. Makes sense

We have to get real, and come to grips with the fact that the "war on (some) drugs" cannot be won. Legalize the drugs, let legitimate businesses who use lawyers, not bullets, to settle disputes, and our society benefits. I'm not saying "drugs are good". But no law, no matter how draconian, will stifle demand, and where there is demand, there WILL be supply.

If the Kurdish military can destroy over 32 miles of ISIS tunnel systems with spare IED's they found, i think the federal government in mexico can figure out how to cave in a few of these. Is this really all that complicated?.

Shutting down a vehicle at high speed, you do realise powersteering doesn't work and brakes only work sufficiently while engine is going. Good in concept bad in practice.
Would only be good practice to use at low speed as there is still going to be damage to surrounding property and personal

Nonsense. Just become he used a new way to kill doesn't mean that somehow someone failed. And having cops at the front of an airport deters such behavior and leads to a faster response.

So let me get this right. CCW is not permitted in this area and individuals are not screened? Sounds like every other nonsensical "gun-free zone" to me.
