Amazing game 😍 no Mexican waves yesterday you couldn't take your eyes off it!.
Thanks to Exeter Chiefs and Wasps for making the final such a fine spectacle.

As a Wasps fan the game had it all. You just had the edge. After your defeat to Saracens last year this year was yours. It will be ours next year.

Was there and thought it was a great game, Wasps you felt could throw some slick 7s style move and score from anywhere and the chiefs kept hammering it up and then great defence from Wasps would disrupt.....nerves were shredded by the end but a great result for the chiefs....but when you look at Wasps on paper if they could get just a bit more grunt up front then Jeexz....

Seven years after kicking Exeter Chiefs into Aviva Premiership Rugby, skipper Gareth Steenson proved once again that ice runs through his veins as his decisive penalty in extra time saw Rob Baxter’s men claim an astonishing 23-20 final triumph.

What a season it has been. This result was not expected as were other games. That's why I like Rugby. Let's hope next season is as entertaining as this and let's have more shocks and surprises.

As a neutral, one of the most exciting games I've seen at twickenham 🏉🏉🏉😀😀😀 a very emotional minutes silence observed too 😪 Sale supporter 🦈❤

Pity JP called the scrum penalty completely the wrong way. Chiefs tight head moves his feet back, loses his balance and drops the scrum but Mullen gets pinged? Wrong call!!! On balance Chiefs probably edged it but pity it was lost due to a refereeing call

What a brilliant, brilliant game of rugby by two wonderful teams. The only sadness is that one of them had to lose. A fabulous advert for English rugby. Congratulations to both clubs, may they both continue to prosper.

Amazing game of rugby and advert for the game well done to both teams. Massive achievement for Rob Baxter and his back room staff.

Hats off to Exeter. What a final!! Incredibly proud of the Wasps boys for simply getting to Twickenham.
If you'd told me five years ago while I was at Adams Park watching that game v Newcastle that we'd be where we are now, and that it would go right down to the end of extra time, I wouldn't have believed you.
A fantastic effort all season, just unlucky at the end. And couldn't have lost to a better team. Now we do an Exeter and win it next season 😂🐝😂🖤
05/27/2017 at 16:05
Fair play chiefs. That ref was shocking though :D will never forget that decision on Hughes at the end of the game :D wins turnover legally to win the game, ref has other ideas :D

Hughes penalised for not rolling away when in actual fact he had both hands on the ball, clearly standing up and legally able to contest the ball :D what a shocking decision from the ref. I simply don't know how you create turnover ball if not like that :D
05/27/2017 at 17:33
Great 2nd half or Chiefs. Best team won. How many times did Mullen pull scrum down before noticed. I bet Wasps know better than anyone. The Hughes thing was contentious.....still glad Chiefs won.
05/27/2017 at 15:34
I've always been against extra time in the playoffs, too much risk of damage to the international boys. If scores are level highest place finisher should get the win.

Two tries for Exeter (Nowell & Dollman) but Jimmy Gopperth's score right on half-time has set this #AvivaPremFinal up beautifully.

Great match but why is the most miserable ref in England in charge, wish I'd had a bet that he wouldn't smile once or say anything positive to players I'd be quids in

Such a good game for a neutral (although, apparently having our Ashy as my profile pic makes me not neutral, I have been told.) Enjoying it muchly. 🔴⚫

Have now seen the incident on sky sports news, 7 times and slowed down and unless you have a different angle to what I have seen, I now believe that my original position was correct and that wasn't a red card offence I believe the frenchman did feign injury, just like the radio commentators, the Northampton players and obviously many in the crowd. Ps .John Lacey is a poor referee regardless of this match, I have seen some shocking decisions from him in the pro 12, he doesn't seem to get any better.
05/26/2017 at 21:33
Think the red was careless rather than intentional... Still a red though. Why does it always seem to take an incident to spark the aggression that wins matches. Too many matches seem to have got away from us early doors because we allow other teams to get on the front foot. Also composure and disaplin are still serious issues. Hope we can use this to kick on next season as still think we have the makings of a top team if we can get our heads right
05/27/2017 at 05:42
Dave Pittman. I am a Sarries supporter as well & like Debbie Knight I support any English side against any other team unless it is Saracens. I am not biased against Saints & up to that point in the game I was as disappointed & frustrated in the way Saints were playing as I would guess Saints fans were too. The way the players made their way back into the game & to win it was stunning.

Quality side, but utter to55ers for fans. Head and foot come together it's a red. Fans should ashamed of themselves but never are. Worst place in the U.K. to watch a game of rugby. Vile chants from the crowd.
05/26/2017 at 20:45
Well we did it saints.. But what ever happens, weather he played on or not that red card was deserved! What the hell was wood thinking! Lawes and North were machines tonight. They didn't have too but they played their hearts out... Picamoles leaving the pitch early tells it own story. Let's use that million and bring back manoa!
05/27/2017 at 12:35
So bloody proud to be a Saints Man. That was a display of sheer guts, fitness, teamwork, character etc etc. To add to that, I live in south-west France ! Must admit though I was a little downhearted at half time and when Woody was sent off(!!!!!) well.......COYS.

All those saying 'malinder out'. Hope your football team do well next season. This is rugby. Don't just sack the coach at half time because the game
Plan doesn't quite work out.

Jim Mallinder out!!! Terrible coach with a good squad of players. Change needed...
