Hall of Famer Bert Bell was born OTD in 1895. Bell began his pro football life as the founder-owner of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1933. Eventually, he sold the team and bought a share in The Pittsburgh Steelers. In 1946, he was elected NFL commissioner. As commissioner, he implemented a proactive anti-gambling policy and negotiated a merger with the All-America Football Conference (AAFC).

Happy Birthday to Hall of Fame wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff! Biletnikoff spent his entire 14 season career with The Oakland Raiders. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and also played in two AFL All-Star games. Named the MVP of Super Bowl XI.
