Congratulations to our Ground Crew who took part in the City2Sea in Melbourne yesterday. With sunny conditions, participants set off from 7.45am, taking up the challenge of the inner-city course of either 5km or 15km. RFDS Victoria Chief Executive, Scott Chapman stepped up for the 15km run. Together, the team of 45 raised more than $15,000. Well done Ground Crew.
At six weeks old little Thomas became very ill and began struggling to breathe. What happened to him can happen to any baby in the world.

For Brooke and Lachlan, hearing their baby trying and failing to suck enough air into his badly infected lungs was almost unbearable.

A new 'flying intensive care unit' has been dedicated on behalf of the RFDS Central Operations for service to communities in South and Central Australia. The first mission for our new PC-12 VH-FXN was in September to retrieve an 11-year-old boy with spinal injures from Yorketown to Adelaide for hospital treatment. Click below to read more.
