Students in 41 states and DC have the opportunity to attend full-time, statewide, tuition-free #onlineacademies. Nationwide, more than 320,000 students are enrolled, full-time, in online schools. An additional 2.3 million students take online courses while attending brick-and-mortar schools. #schoolchoice

#charterschools are public schools that are allowed the freedom to be more innovative, while being held accountable for student achievement. They are always public schools, and they are not allowed to charge tuition. There are currently more than 6,600 charter schools in the U.S., and the number of students in charter schools has quadrupled in the last ten years.
