The Earth has been under the influence of a high speed solar wind stream and at active to minor storm levels for the past 2 days. Solar wind speed is dropping slowly, but some residual elevated activity may well be visible at high northern latitudes tonight!

Moderate instability and strong shear are supportive of large hail, torrential rainfall with flash floods and severe winds.
