The film had its official premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2000.

In the hours and days after the show frustration between the Pistols and management reaches boiling point and the band eventually split. This will be the last Sex Pistols show for 18 years, and their last with Sid Vicious in the band.

This day in Sex Pistols history... January 3rd 1978. The Sex Pistols fly into New York to begin their first US tour on the 5th. Initially the band were refused entry to the States due to their criminal records and had to pull two shows from the tour. It is reported that Warner Brothers paid a $1 Million bond to get the band into the country.
